CASED THIRD REICH BURGERMEISTERS MEDAL FOR THE DISTRICT OF HOCHEN.

A very rare cased medal awarded to the Mayor of Hochen, this is the 1st example of a Burgermeisters medal I have owned in 35 years as a dealer. ARMY DAGGER STRAPS, POSISIBLY USED BY THE AFRIKA KORPS..

Silver bullion with metal fittings, the spring clips are in good working order. Kaki canvas type backing material, this is a similar type of material as tropical bayonet frogs are produced from. I believe that straps with this type of cloth backing were worn by officers serving in a tropical climate such as Africa, they are rare as in 35 years I have only owed two or three sets at the most.
