MINIATURE 1ST MODEL LUFTWAFFE DAGGER WITH KNOT.

Miniature dagger were produced as salesman's samples and also letter openers. The hilt of this example is produced in one piece with fine detail to the swastika decorated pommel and crossguard, the grip is painted blue to simulate leather with wear to the highpoints. The plated blade is in excellent condition. The scabbard was also produced as one unit with blue painted scabbard to simulate leather which shows some wear mostly on the reverse side. Normally the scabbard mounts on the miniature 1st model Luftwaffe dagger have artificial staples on the reverse side of each mount but on this example the mounts are plain with out staples which is rather unusual to see. Complete with miniature portepee knot. A difficult to find miniature dagger. Exc++
