A fine quality miniature Japanese sword measuring just over 9 inches or 23cm. The handle is wrapped in red cord with metal manuka, ornate gilt metal pommel and matching suba. BRITISH VICTORIAN SILVER SHOULDER BELT POUCH OF THE LEICESTERSHIRE YEOMANRY CAVALRY.

The silver front of the pouch with foliage border, the centre applied with Victorian crown over LYC cypher and Prince Alberts Own on a banner below for the Leicestershire yeomanry Cavalry. Silver hall marks to cover for London but they are slightly rubbed with age and the date letter is difficult to read now.
