SWISS SCHMIDT RUBIN SAWBACK PIONEER BAYONET.

This is a very long massive bayonet and it is the 1914 model. Factory blued hilt, the bayonet slot is in good working order, the crossguard is stamped with an issue number. Campaign furniture and accessories were popular with the British military as they were reinforced with metal binding giving extra strength for travelling with the army. FRENCH CAVALRY TROOPERS SWORD, 19th CANTUARY.

This sword appears to be the French 1882 model but there are other similar earlier models which are almost identical, some of which were also used in the American civil war.
