White glazed jug by Macintyre (Moorcroft) with pictorial design to the front of the jug of a British soldier in kharki uniform holding a rifle and with artists name below, R.Caton Woodville 1899, A Gentleman in Kharki. The reverse side is printed with the poem of the Absent minded beggar. Base is marked with pottery stamp for Macintyre Burslem who supplied products to the famous store Liberty's of London and latter became better know under there new name, Moorcroft. Height approcamatly 7 inches or 17cm. Mint.
