Brass cannon barrel with proof marks to the underside. The steel flintlock is complete and in perfect working order, the lock plate is engraved Wittmore London in scroll decoration. BRITISH WW1 LUSITANIA PLAQUE WITH ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX.

This bronze medallion commemorates the German sinking of the British passenger ship the Lusitania by a German U-boat during WW1. It was produced as British propaganda to show how ruthless the Germans were to sink a passenger ship, subsequently it has been proved that as well as civilian passengers it was also carrying weaponry for the war effort.
