BRITISH WW1 LUSITANIA PLAQUE WITH ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX.

This bronze medallion commemorates the German sinking of the British passenger ship the Lusitania by a German U-boat during WW1. It was produced as British propaganda to show how ruthless the Germans were to sink a passenger ship, subsequently it has been proved that as well as civilian passengers it was also carrying weaponry for the war effort. BRITISH WAR OFFICE ENAMEL SIGN.

A superb shield shaped enamel sign. The sign depicts the Royal coat of arms in full colour and then below in large red letters, THE WAR OFFICE KINGS PREMIUM LONDON 1925. Apparently the signs were changed each year as various dates exist. Removed from the War office building with just a few chips to the edges. Height approcamatly 15 inches or 38cm. AMERICAN WW1 REMINGTON BAYONET.

Steel hilt, the rifle slot is still in good working order. The brown wooden grip plates are in perfect condition. The blade is in excellent condition and has various makers marks, Remington factory stamp, US mark and it is also dated 1917.
