Mint orange grip. Fine detail to the eagle crossguard, the pommel still retains much gilt to the swastikas. The blade is still in very nice condition, it does have several age marks but these are very minor, the reverse side of the blade is stamped with the small Eickhorn Solingen trade mark and which is much harder to find than the larger etched type. DLV / LUFTWAFFE 1ST MODEL DAGGER BY GEBR HELLER.

This is the rare model produced in 1935 with scabbard mounts held in place by large metal staples rather than screws, this was the initial production model and very similar construction to what you find on the rare 55cm DLV dagger.
