GERMAN LAND CUSTOMS M43 STYLE CAP.
Fine quality field grey cap with green customs piping to the crown. Silver aluminium metal land customs cap eagle attached to the front of the hat with three metal pins. The cap flap is held in place with one single button. The interior features a black quilted / padded lining, there is a size mark but it is faded and difficult to make out now. The green leather sweat band is in perfect condition. This actual hat is featured in the reference book, Einheitsfeldmutze by Daniel Fisher and Oliver Lock, page 17 (please see photographs). A rare and difficult to find Customs officials hat and being illustrated in a highly regarded reference book makes it even more desirable. Near mint.
WAFFEN SS M43 MODEL OFFICERS CAP.
This is one of many original Third Reich hats that were discovered at the Statini film studios in Czechoslovakia in the 1990's, the film studio built up a huge collection of original German uniforms and regalia at the end of WW2 to use in propaganda and historical films. The hat is produced in field grey cloth with officers silver piping to the crown. Attached to the front of the hat is the Waffen SS skull and eagle insignia on field grey backing, this is probably a latter replacement as many of the Stetini hats and uniforms were missing insignia which were latter replaced. The hat is fitted with a single metal button to the front of the hat. The interior of the hat has an artificial grey silk lining with various ink stampings, 2246/43 the 43 is probably the date of manufacture, it is then marked with size stamp 56 and then two further stamps which are for the Statini film company but these have been inked out as they often are. Bargain price because of the reasons stated above, these SS officer M43 caps are normally much more expensive. Exc++
SS DESK EAGLE ON MARBLE BASE.
Bronze Nuremberg style eagle with blackened finish, the eagle is clutching a black oakleaf wreath with large silver swastika (the SS colours) and sitting on a black plinth with SS runes within in a circle with an ornate border. The eagle is then mounted on a marble base with one small faint hairline crack to the marble base. The marble top has two small wells probably for a pair of ceremonial candles. Originally discovered many years ago at a UK flea market (boot fair), when I purchased this figure recently it was partly covered in an unsightly post war gold paint, this has been professionally removed at considerable expense and it is now back to its former glory. Approcamatly 8 inches or 20cm in height with base. A very attractive eagle and this is the first SS example I have owned. Exc++

SS POLICE BIRTHDAY GREETINGS CARDS TO GAULEITER HOFER.
Interesting pair of birthday greeting cards which are similar, the first card features superb SS police art work for the Scherlander SS Police Regiment and sends birthday greetings to the Gauleiter. The second card also sends birthday greetings to the Gauleiter from the SS Police Regiment Schlanders and it is ink signed by the Regiment commander an SS Obersturmbannfuhrer. This Police Regiment was formed in 1944 from men of South Tyrol, the district of Gauleite Franz Hofer, the Gauleiter was born on the 27,11.1902 so in 1944 he would be 42 years old confirming the details on the card.. Gauleiter Franz Hofer joined the Austrian NSDAP in 1931 and rose quickly in rank and by July1932 he was already deputy Gauleiter and by November 1932 he was the Gauleiter of the Tyrol. In June 1935 he was arrested by the Austrian police and he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, but only a few months latter four armed SA men freed him from jail and he fled the prison under gunfire from prison guards, he was wounded but still managed to escape to Germany and actually gave a speech on a stretcher at the 1935 Nurnberg rally. in 1937 Hoffer became leader of the Austrian party members living in Germany. After the Anschluss of Austria in 1938 Adolf Hitler awarded Hoffer by making him the Gauleiter of the Tyrol for the second time and in 1939 he became a General of the NSKK. After the war turned against Germany Hoffer Suggested to the Fuhrer that his district should become an Alpine fortress, Hitler was keen on the idea but by the time action was taken it was really to late but the idea certainly concerned the Allied commander as the war could have continued for much longer as it would have been very difficult to occupy the area. Hoffer Surrendered to the American forces in 1945. Franz Hofer died in 1975. Neat mint.
SS ROHM HONOUR DAGGER BY KLASS.
This rare SS dagger features the Rohm inscription with just Rohms name removed. All early nickel silver fittings, the lower crossguard reverse side is marked III which is the SS distribution mark for Munich. The blade has some old age spotting and marks but it is still bright and still in over all good condition, the obverse side features the SS motto, the reverse side displays the very rare Rohm inscription, in cordial comradeship with just Rohm\'s name removed and the remainder of the inscription is complete and even parts of the letters of Rohms name can still be seen, the maker of this rare dagger is Robert Klass Solingen and it features there small trade mark which was only used on the Rohm dagger, (standard Klass SS dagger feature the large trade mark), the makers trade mark is about 80% complete, the very top has been removed during the blade grinding process. Black anodised scabbard with matching nickel silver mounts. Only 9900 SS Rohm honours dagger were awarded in 1934, on the the 30th of June Rohm was declared a traitor and shortly after that he was executed, the Reichfuhrer SS Heinrich Himnmler then ordered his SS members who had been awarded the dagger to remove the Rohm inscription from the blade by grinding, almost all happily complied and removed the complete inscription but a few removed just the name, which makes the dagger very rare. Not a mint SS dagger but still very nice and certainly extremely rare and missing from even the most advanced collection, an SS Rohm dagger with a complete Rohm inscription would cost approcamatly 20k but that is if you could even find one so this is very realistic price for such a rare dagger.
