CASED GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER DIRECT FROM THE REICH CHANCELLERY IN BERLIN.

CASED GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER DIRECT FROM THE REICH CHANCELLERY IN BERLIN.

Superb example of this very rare award that was liberated by a British Soldier from Adolf Hitler's Reich Chancellery in Berlin in 1945 complete with original note to confirm this. The black enamel swastika is in perfect condition, the silver date wreath still retains most of its silver finish and the star burst still retains almost all blued factory finish. The reverse side features pin and hook, the under side of the pin is stamped 20 which is the makers code for Zimmermann. Complete with black leatherette box which is factory fitted for the award. Complete with a very old envelope which the award was stored in with four lines of hand witting stating that this award came from Adolf Hitler's Reich Chancellery in Berlin in 1945, the writing is now very worn and faded with age. Only 1200 Silver examples of this very rare decoration were awarded compared to over 30,000 of the Gold grade. Near mint.

NSKK COMPETITION AWARD MEDALLION IN GOLD WITH ORIGINAL BOX.

NSKK COMPETITION AWARD MEDALLION IN GOLD WITH ORIGINAL BOX.

The obverse side depicts a highly detailed NSKK man wearing the scarce NSKK helmet, his left collar patch features the Standarter number M94, and with the award title to the outer edge , 17 ZUVERLAS SIKEITS FAHRT RUND UM WIEN 1939. The reverse side features a large NSKK eagle with inscription to outer edge, MOTOR GRUPPE OSTMARK NSKK STANDARTE M94. The medallion still retains almost all original gilt finish. Complete with original cardboard issue box. A very attractive award which would be a great addition to a collection of political awards but it would also look very nice displayed with an NSKK dagger. This is only the 2nd example I have owned in over 30 years and the previous one was in silver and not cased. Condition: Near Mint

ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BY WKC WITH VERY EARLY STYLE EAGLE AND UNUSUAL GREEN EYES.

ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BY WKC WITH VERY EARLY STYLE EAGLE AND UNUSUAL GREEN EYES.

This is a very interesting early sword with some unusual features and dates from 1934 - 1935 period. The crossguard features the rare early style eagle with short pointed wings, the lions head hilt is unusual as it is fitted with green glass eyes rather than red. This model sword by WKC was carried by the SS and it was WKC SS model number 1016 (Wittmann\'s SS book page 306) but if the sword was carried by the SS it would probably be silver rather than gilt. The swords lions head hilt is fitted with green glass eyes and many SS lions head swords are also fitted with green eyes. The German customs service also carried a lions head sword and there swords also often have green eyes. So there are several possibility\'s to which service this sword was carried by but in my opinion it was probably the army or the Customs service. The black celluloid grip is in perfect condition. Fine detail to gilt brass lion head hilt and the detail to the short wing eagle is exceptional, the back strap of the sword is very ornate. Mint plain blade by WKC, the makers mark is difficult to see as it is under the crossguard but it is there. Black painted scabbard shows light wear, it might have been re-painted but if so certainly a long time ago and probably by the original owner, it is difficult to say for sure as it is so good. A very interesting and rare sword. Exc++

The blade is by SMF and it has a waffen amp mark close to the makers trade mark, the blade is in mint condition. The scabbard is also in fine condition and the fittings have a matching age patina, the blue leather is in perfect condition. Complete with leather moon type hanger. An exceptionally nice sword. Near mint condition.

LARGE ADOLF HITLER BRONZE BUST SIGNED BY ARTIST.

LARGE ADOLF HITLER BRONZE BUST SIGNED BY ARTIST.

This is a superb life size example. Fine quality bronze bust with excellent detail with a nice age patina. The reverse side is artist signed, Ferdinand, which is probably for Ferdinand Liebermann (1884-1941) a well known artist who produced a number of different bronze busts of Adolf Hitler. The bust is mounted on a black plinth, the plinth is a latter addition but it does have age and compliments the bronze bust perfectly, I have left the screw fitting slightly loose so it can be removed if required. Please note that this is a very heavy item to mail so there might be extra postage costs to what is quoted on the invoice, this will depend on the destination. Height on plinth 15 inches or 38cm.Exc++

LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS PEAK CAP, HIGH QUALITY EXAMPLE.

LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS PEAK CAP, HIGH QUALITY EXAMPLE.

Superb looking hat with good high front produced in very high quality dark blue wool. Blue wool top with black ribbed centre band and silver piping, complete with fine quality silver bullion eagle, matching cockade and silver cap cords which is held in place by two small silver buttons. The exterior of the hat is in superb condition with no moth damage at all. The interior of the hat features a pale grey silk lining with celluloid patch with Luftwaffe supply details, there is one crack to the diamond but it is still complete with no missing parts. Brown leather sweat band is in excellent condition and it shows light wear especially near the front, the size label tag (56) is still attached to the sweat band. This really is a fine looking high quality cap which I can highly recommend. Exc++
