BRITISH VICTORIAN ROYAL ARTILLERY OFFICERS SABRETACHE COMPLETE WITH LEATHER COVER.
A superb bullion sabertach which incorporates in the design the Royal coat of arms in heavy bullion foliage and mounted with a gilt metal cannon with Artillery Regimental motto below. Complete with it's original leather cover storage case which has certainly helped preserve this sabretache's beautiful colored bullion work. Slight rubbing to the bullion work at the bottom right hand corner of the sabretache but over all it is in fine condition and a center point of any collection. [Condition: Exc++]
ANTIQUE PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX PISTOL.
A very nice 6 cylinder British pepperbox revolver. The frame and top hammer fitting are highly decorated with foliage designs, cylinder has proof marks. Extra large trigger guard. Wooden grip plates are in perfect condition and the but cap is engraved with matching floral decoration. Good working order, circa 1840 /1850. A very nice example, much better than most and in fine condition. [Condition: Exc++]
LARGE SIZE GOLD PARTY BADGE OF THE NSDAP STILL IN FULL GILT.
This 30mm example is in beautiful condition with all gilt finish remaining to the oak leaf wreath, the enamel party badge is in superb mint condition. The reverse side is marked Ges GESCH and it is fitted with the safety pin style pin and hook, the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN and bellow this the original party members NSDAP membership number 37669, the reverse side of the badge is also in almost full gilt with just very slight wear to the gilt finish from rubbing on the owners tunic. The great thing with gold party badges is that they can be researched and the owner identified which can then greatly increase there value. [Condition: Near Mint]
HITLER AND MUSSOLINI COMEMORATIVE CIGGARETTE CASE.
This case is produced in tin and then colored to appear to be tortoiseshell, it shows some light wear to the finish. Set into the center of the case is a large brass plaque which was probably originally gilded and features the heads of Hitler and Mussolini with large eagle and then set in separate wreaths a swastika and the Italian fascist insignia and with lettering Vincere. The case opens with press button to the side of the case. A most unusual souvenir showing just how close these two country's became in the late 1930s. [Condition: Exc+]
ALLGEMEINE SS OFFICERS KEPI.
This is an extremely rare example for an officer, the SS kepi is one of the harder pieces of SS headdress to find and although it was replaced by the peaked cap in 1932 it was still worn as part of the traditional uniform with the brown shirt on special occasions as late as 1940 if not later and it is still actually shown in the 1943 edition of the NSDAP organisation book. Fine quality black wool body with cloth visor, on each side of the kepi there are two sets of air grommets which are often seen on kepis. The crown of the kepi has officers black and silver rank piping, this officers piping and the extra quality of the kepi distinguishes this rare hat from the standard enlisted mans SS kepi. The front of the kepi is complete with early style silver frosted eagle and below this a black button with the early style matching silver frosted SS skull below, the black leather SS style chin strap is held in place with two side buttons. The interior of the kepi has a fine quality black cloth lining with faint size stamp, the brown leather sweat band is in fine condition, the interior of the hat shows just light wear. A very rare hat missing from many collections, this hat comes from an old long established SS collection. [Condition: Near Mint]
ALLGEMEINE SS GENERALS WHITE SUMMER ISSUE PEAKED CAP.
This extremely rare hat was located many years ago in eastern Europe, approximately late 1980's or there abouts, when it was originally discovered the insignia was missing but this was later replaced so the hat could be properly displayed by the collector who obtained it and has owned the cap up until now. White cotton top shows some faint brown age staining but just to the very edge of the top of the hat. Black fine quality velvet center band with silver edge piping. The hat is complete with as previously mentioned replacement silver metal SS eagle and skull badges, the silver cap cords are held in place with two small silver side buttons, it is interesting to see that the cap cords have impressed themselves into the black visor of the hat after resting there for many decades and they have also impressed themselves into the velvet center band of the hat which is a very nice feature to see. The interior of the hat features a white cotton liner with celluloid patch, under the celluloid patch are a set of gold embossed SS runes in a circle. The under side of the peak is stamped with the black SS RZM mark. The fine quality brown leather sweat band has one large and also one small split and it does show wear as you would expect but it is still complete and no parts are missing, under the front of the sweatband are the remains of the orange sponge material often seen on German hats but it is now very dry and fragile, if there was an RZM tag under the sweat band this is now missing. This hat shows age and wear but it is exceptionally rare and displays very nicely and it is priced very realistically because of the slight condition problems, if it was in mint condition it would be considerably more expensive. GOLD PARTY BADGE OF THE NSDAP.
This is a small 25mm example in mint condition, it is not maker marked but it is obviously by Deschler. The wreath still retains 100% gilt finish, the enamel badge is in perfect condition. The reverse side features pin and hook and a stamped NSDAP membership number 23749, this is a fairly low number and it shows that the original owner joined the party soon after it was reformed in 1925, the number has not been researched so it might make an interesting research project. [Condition: Near Mint]
RARE POLITICAL LEADERS FLAG FOR ORTSGRUPPE WALTER RAU.
Red cotton double sided flag with separately applied white circle and black swastika, silver fringe to three sides, the fourth side is fitted with six silver aluminum flag pole suspension rings. The top corner of the flag features the unit corner box, brown wool box with blue border for the Ortsgruppe level of political leadership and with white chain stitched NSDAP unit title, WALTER RAU. It is extremely unusual to find a political leaders flag / standard with a person's name as normally they will display a town name, district or even a village name. After some research i have discovered several possibility's for what this name represents, during the period of the Third Reich it was a common practice to name party and political units after martye's who had died in the service of the party and so this is a possibility, there was also a factory and a large ship named Walter Rau and both of these could have had an NSDAP Ortsgruppe attached to them, i believe that the origin and purpose of this rare NSDAP flag will be one of these and further research should be able to establish which it is. [Condition: Near Mint]
NSDAP POLITICAL LEADERS TRUMPET BANNER.
A very nice double sided political leaders trumpet banner, red cotton banner with separately applied white circle and black swastika, with white fringe to all four sides. The top edges has traces of three cloth suspension loops but these were cut of when it was removed from the instrument. I believe this banner is probably for a trumpet but the other possibility is that it was for the rare Schellenbaum (the Schellenbaum banners often had a fringe to all four sides where trumpet banners normally do not). If it is for an NSDAP Schellenbaum then it is under valued and a bargain. [Condition: Near Mint]
SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL WITH MINT RZM MARKED BLADE BY SPITZER.
The metal hilt fittings show light wear to the silver plating. The black wooden grip is complete with SS runic badge and silver eagle and it has a couple of very faint hairlines as these grips often do. Superb mint blade, the obverse side features the SS motto, MEIN EHRE HEIST TREUE, the reverse side features the makers details, RZM M7/91 RZM 1221/39 SS, this is the makers code for Carl Spitzer and it was produced in 1939. Complete with matching scabbard which still retains 98% original black paint and it is fitted with matching silver plated fittings. A very nice example at a reasonable price. [Condition: Exc++]
