A MOST UNUSUAL PROBABLY UNIQUE GERMAN HUNTING DAGGER.
This is a really impressive and attractive dagger which was possibly a special order as in over 40 years collecting and dealing in German daggers and militaria i have never seen this pattern before.Impressive stag horn grip plates are formed at the hilt to represent a birds head the upper grip rivet acting as the eye, the tip of the grip is formed to represent a birds beak which is reminiscent of the RAD dagger hilt. The silver metal grip ferrule is decorated with a number of deeply engraved lines, the silver metal crossguard is most unusual as it is flat and oval in design, i have never seen a crossguard on a hunting dagger like this before, it is simple but still very attractive. The impressive steel blade measures just under 12 inches in length and it is in excellent condition, it is plain with out decoration or a makers name and i am sure would be very lethal in defense or for dispatching an injured animal. Black leather scabbard with matching silver scabbard fittings, the upper fitting has two decorative side attachments for attaching a frog and it is also fitted with a skinning knife. The skinning knife is also very attractive and the maker has selected a superb section of staghorn for the handle. The steel blade is in excellent condition and it is marked, Silber Stee. The dagger is complete with its original brown leather hanger with fitted leather belt, the belt is complete and it has not been shortened but it is very short so how it attaches i have no idea. The knife is very reminiscent of the rare and desirable Third Reich Dula hunting knife & this dagger would look superb displayed with one of those and would certainly be a unique set. This hunting knife would be ideal in the field for defense from attacking animals but also for dispatching an injured animal, it is very attractive in design and so it would also be ideal at a formal gatherings of hunters such as at a Hunting contest / parade. In 1806 the Regiment returned to England, in 1807 the Regiment was transferred to Jersey in the Channel Islands for garrison duty. In 1808 it was deployed in Spain against Napoleon and took part in many campaigns and battles. In 1812 it was transferred to North America and serviced in the war of 1812 and saw action at the battle of Plattsburgh in September 1814, the Regiment stayed in North America until 1827.It was then Garrisoned in Ireland until 1834. It then served in the West Indies. The Regiment returned to England in 1842 and was soon after deployed in South Wales to suppress the riots. The Regiment was then sent to Corfu and then Malta in 1848. The Regiment then returned to England in 1857 and stayed until late 1863 when it was sent to India again (the cup would have been awarded shortly before the Regiments was sent to India). The Regiment returned to England in 1876. The 76th Regiment was amalgamated with the 33rd Regiment in 1881 to form Duke of Wellingtons Regiment. A superb large silver goblet and being named it would make a good research project. Near mint.

Bonze coloured hilt with decorative suba. Cloth bound fish skin grip fitted with three Manuka. The blade is still very bright and in excellent condition. The scabbard shows some age but still retains some original paint finish. A nice clean Katana. The former owner told me that the blade is signed but I have not opened the sword hilt to confirm this so I am selling it as un-signed. Exc++

The leather grip is in perfect condition and it is complete with 2nd pattern RLB black enameled swastika badge, there is a tiny scratch to the badge but it is tiny and insignificant. The detail to the crossguard eagle and swastika is exceptional and it it is complete with the matching pommel. GERMAN ARMY OFFICERS DAGGER WITH DAMASCUSE BLADE.
Fine detail to the silver pommel and eagle crossguard. The orange celluloid grip is in very nice condition. The beautiful quality near mint blade is produced in genuine damascuse steel and seems to be a combination of maiden hair and small rose bud pattern, this truly is a fine blade and really a work of art, the tang of the blade is stamped by the smith CW which is initials for Carl Wester who was a well known and highly respected Damscuse smith working during the Third Reich period. The matching silver scabbard is also in fine condition. Although you see many imperial edged weapons with damascuse blades during the Imperial German period, it is extremely rare to find Third Reich edged weapons with Damasuse blades. Exc++
LARGE SIZE NSDAP GOLD PARTY BADGE, MINT CONDITION.
Superb 30mm example awarded to a very early NSDAP party member. The wreath retains almost 100% gilt finish and the enamel badge is in perfect condition. The reverse side is fitted with the safety pin style pin and hook, the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN 9, the badge is also marked GES GESCH and it is stamped with the original owners NSDAP membership number 16458. The original owner holding this NSDAP number would have joined the party soon after it was re-founded in 1925, probably in May, June or July of that year and it would certainly make an interesting research project to try an identify the original owners identity. Gold party badges are always difficult to find now but those belonging to the original founding members of 1925 are extra rare and especially in this condition. Mint.
