GOLD PARTY BADGE OF THE NSDAP, LARGE SIZE.
This is a superb 30mm example in fine condition. The enamel centre is in perfect condition. The oakleath wreath still retains much original gilt finish. The reverse side is marked, GES GESCH and with the owners NSDAP membership number below, 38765. The badge is fitted with the safety style pin and hook and the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN 9. The badge is complete with leatherette box that the original owner stored the badge in but it is not an NSDAP issue box. Original gold party badges have become very difficult to find in the last few years. Near mint.
EDWARDIAN BRITISH EXPLORERS KNIFE.
The design of this knife is reminiscent to the American Bowie knife. High quality horn grip which has been expertly factory carved with a ribbed design probably to give it a good grip when held in the hand. Simple brass crossguard. Wide bowie type blade which measures almost 15cm long and it is maker marked, Butler Sheffield England, the blade shows some minor age wear but over all it is still very nice. Brown leather scabbard, the grip retaining strap is in perfect condition and it is fitted with a popper button which is marked on the reverse side, Nevley England. Size 11 inches or 28cm. Exc++
VICTORIAN SWORD STICK WITH BRONZE FIGURAL HEAD OF DANTE.
The long wooden shaft is in excellent condition, pulling the handle away from the shaft reveals a long lethal steel blade. There is some very old twine or string wrapped around the very top of the blade to make it fit tighter in the scabbard. Bronze figural pommel modelled as the head of Danti, the detail to the bronze modelling is exceptional. Danti was born in the city of Florence in Italy in 1265, he served in the military and also trained as an apothecary but his carrier as a poet is what he is remembered for, he died in 1331. A most unusual antique sword stick. Exc++
VICTORIAN SILVER TOP SWORD STICK.
A very nice Victorian cane. Pulling the handle from the shaft reveals an impressive 14cm blade which is stamped with the letter X, perhaps the makers initial. Decorative silver top in a typical Victorian style with full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1890 and with the makers initials. Silver central band and silver tip to the cane but these are not silver marked. Very nice condition. Exc++
BRITISH WW1 OFFICERS SWAGGER STICK WITH CONCEALED BLADE.
Brown leather covered officer rank stick, pulling the handle away from the shaft reveals a long lethal steel blade, the blade does have some old age marks but over all it is still very nice. During WW1 most British officers only carried a service pistol so a bladed weapon would be very handy especially in trench warfare. Exc+
THIRD REICH NATIONAL HUNTING ASSOCIATION DAGGER.
This is a very impressive example which has never been cleaned and has a very attractive age patina. Superb stag horn grip with silver DJ grip insignia which features a stag head with swastika set between its antlers and with DJ organisation letters below. Ornate silver dear hoof crossguard, fluted clamshell and matching pommel. The blade is triple etched, the obverse and reverse side display highly detailed panels featuring, stags in forest design, hunting dogs, wild boar and a huntsman with rifle, even the spine of the blade is etched with a floral design, there are a few minor age marks but over all this is an extremely nice blade. The green leather scabbard is in fine condition and complete with two matching silver mounts. A very nice example. Exc++
PRESENTATION NAZI FORESTRY ENLISTED MANS DAGGER BY EICKORN WITH PORTEPEE.
Stag horn grip is in mint condition and it is complete with all six metal acorns. The dagger still retains almost all of its original gilt finish to the hilt and is complete with large fluted clamshell. Excellent condition blade is double etched with various forestry designs such as dogs attacking wild boar, stags in forest, hunter with riffle, the obverse side of the blade is stamped with the 1935 / 41 trade mark. Black leather scabbard with matching gilt fittings is also in fine condition, the reverse side of the upper fitting is beautifully engraved with a presentation inscription, HEINR HOUBERT, FUR TREUE DIENSTE GEW.V.D.BURG.SCH.GES DORTM-APLERBECK. Complete with difficult to find green forestry knot. The enlisted model is considerably harder to find than the officer model of this dagger pattern and this example is especially nice having a presentation inscription and original knot. [Condition: Near Mint]
