The hilt retains almost 100% silver plating, the pommel displays the SS runes. The black wooden grip is in perfect condition. Mint blade by Krebs Solingen and features there lobster trademark and it is also the most desirable maker to find for SS swords, the white leather blade buffer pad is still in place. The near mint scabbard retains 99% original black paint, two very slight dents close to the tip of the scabbard but they are very minor. The top scabbard mount is stamped with the SS Kulturezeichen SS runic mark. Complete with black leather hanger and extremely rare black and white SS NCO sword knot with the SS runes to the stem of the knot, the NCO knot is far harder to find than the SS officers knot and this is the first one I had for many years. Near mint superb set.

RARE EARLY RAD DAGGER WITH FULL STAG GRIP BY EICKHORN, COMPLETE WITH HANGER.
This rare pattern RAD dagger with full stag grip was only produced by Eickhorn for a short period of time in 1934, the hilt design was then quickly changed to the standard metal and stag type. The hilt is produced in nickel silver, the reverse side of the ferule is issue stamped FU.381.The full stag horn grip is very impressive and it is in superb condition. The blade is in excellent condition, the obverse side features the RAD motto and the reverse side is stamped RADJ in a triangle and then etched Ges Gesch with the early Eickhorn 1933-35 stamped small oval trademark, the trade mark is lightly stamped and a small part is not visible. The black painted scabbard is in fine condition just showing age and spidering to the paint but no damage, complete with matching metal fittings, the lower fitting is decorated with a swastika to both sides, the throat is issue stamped FU 381 which matches the dagger issue number. A difficult dagger to find especially in nice condition. Exc++
THIRD REICH NSDAP 1923 GAU BADGE.
These rare Gau badges can be found with a 1923 or 1925 date depending on if the original owner joined the NSDAP before 9th of November 1923 or in 1925 when the party was re-founded, in my opinion the 1923 is more desirable as a good percentage of the original owners were probably also awarded the Blood Order medal for there involvement in the Munich Putsch in 1923.The badge features a silver oakleaf and acorn wreath with a large black painted swastika and with the date 1923. The reverse side features two small rivets that holds the swastika in place and it is maker marked, R.WACHTLER & LANGE MITTWEIDA 800 (the 800 is the silver content mark) The badge is fitted with the correct type type of pin and hook. The blade is in excellent condition and it is triple etched, it features long decorative panels to the obverse and reverse sides featuring crossed riffles and target board, huntsman, stags and dogs in foliage decoration, the spine of the blade is also etched with oakleaves, the reverse side of the blade is stamped with the Eickhorn trade mark and being there 1935 / 41 pattern.
