JAPANEASE WW2 ARMY NCO SWORD WITH MATCHING ISSUE NUMBERS.
Painted metal hilt with decoration that simulates cloth binding. Simple brass suba. The blade is stamped with arsenal mark and issue number 40893, the blade is still very bright but the cutting edge has been slightly sharpened in the past. The metal scabbard retains about 85% brown paint, the throat is stamped with matching issue number 40893. Bargain price because of the sharpened blade. Exc+
MINT UNISSUED GERMAN WW2 ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH ISSUE TAG.
The hilt retains 100% gilt finish with fine detail to the closed wing eagle and swastika, the back strap is engraved with acorns and oakleaves. The black celluloid grip is in mint condition. The blade is by Alcoso Solingen and features there stamped 1941 pattern trade mark. The scabbard retains 100% original black paint, attached to the scabbard is the Alcoso paper Issue tag. Superb sword, impossible to improve on this one. MINT.
SS SPORTS COMPETITION DAY BADGE.
Circular silver badge featuring SS runes in a shield and target board with the background of a castle with inscription to the outer edge. This is the participants badge for SS Standarter 57 shooting contest in Thuringen. Reverse side features safety pin type of pin and hook, the pin plate is maker marked, Gare Peter Schmalkalden. Difficult badge to find. Exc++
NSDAP SILVER EAGLE ON MARBLE BASE.
Large impressive silver metal open wing eagle and swastika. The eagle still retains much silver plating with slight wear to the plating mostly to the reverse side. This eagle was probably displayed in a party leaders office. Height with base just under 10 inches or 25cm. Exc++
GOLD AND ENAMEL SWASTIKA TIE PIN WITH ORIGINAL BOX.
High quality gold swastika with black enamel centre and fitted with long gold pin. Possibly solid gold but not marked and it has not been gold tested. Complete with matching high quality black leatherette box with gilt banding to the exterior of the lid, the interior is fitted with red silk and velvet lining and base is factory fitted for the tie pin. Mint.
BRITISH WAR OFFICE ENAMEL SIGN.
A superb shield shaped enamel sign. The sign depicts the Royal coat of arms in full colour and then below in large red letters, THE WAR OFFICE KINGS PREMIUM LONDON 1925. Apparently the signs were changed each year as various dates exist. Removed from the War office building with just a few chips to the edges. Height approcamatly 15 inches or 38cm. A very unusual item, it would look really nice displayed in a collectors study. Exc++
SUPERB THIRD REICH POLICE OFFICERS PEAK CAP BY EREL IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.
This beautiful police officers peak cap was worn by an officer of the Schutzpolizei D.Gemeinden or small town municipal police. Police green top with brown centre band and carmine red piping for the municipal police. Complete with officers deluxe two piece silver police eagle, cockade and silver bullion cap cords which are held in place by two silver buttons. The interior of the hat is fitted with a pale gold silk lining, the celluloid patch is in perfect condition, the EREL makers details are faded with age but it can still easily be seen, the brown leather sweat band is in perfect condition. The small town police is a rare police branch of service to find and are seldom offered for sale and being by Erel makes it very desirable. Near mint.
WW2 IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS, SCREW BACK EXAMPLE BY L/53 (HYMMEN).
This very nice cross still retains the black velvet base of the box, but the actual box is missing. The cross still retains all original paint finish with good high swastika. The reverse side of the cross is maker marked. L/53 which is the makers code for Hymmen & Co Ludenscheid and it is fitted with a screw post with screw disk. The original black velvet base has a circular recess for the cross and disk but as stated above the actual box is missing. Near mint
NSDAP GOLD PARTY BADGE SET BELONGING TO A POLITICAL LEADER.
This set comprises the large 30mm badge, it has been worn but it is still in extremely nice condition, the enamel centre shows slight wear but no damage, the oakleaf wreath still retains much original gilt finish, the reverse side is marked, GES GESCH and it is stamped with the original owners NSDAP membership number 57362, the pin fitting is still complete and is in working order, the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN 9. The small 25mm badge is in almost mint condition, the enamel badge is in fine condition and the oakleaf wreath is in almost mint condition, the reverse side is stamped with the matching NSDAP membership number 57362, the pin is in perfect condition and the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER MUNCHEN 9.This superb set belonged to NSDAP political leader, Ortsgrupenleiter Herbert Grassmann, he was born on the 31.12.1896 in the state of Baden, he joined the NSDAP on the 31.12.1927 and received membership number 57362 and was the Ortsgrupenleiter of Eberbach of Gau Baden, it appears that during the war he served in the Wehrmacht in France on occupation duties, he was probably too old for front line service. The set comes with some research comprising three photo copy documents concerning Ortsgrupenleiter Grassmann. Gold party badge sets identified to there original owner are very hard to find. Exc++
