DOCUMENT AND PHOTOGRAPH GROUPING BELONGING TO KREISLEITER DR ARTHUR KOLB.
This very interesting set comprises, Kreisleiter Dr Kolb's Ahnenpass (ancestors book) which is fully filled out with his family history proving that he was of Ayran decent and of pure blood, The book contains 48 pages and and almost all have entry's and official stamps, the first page is written in his own hand giving his rank of, Oberbereichsleter Kreisleiter and with his name and address. The 2nd item is a large photograph of Kreisleiter Dr Kolb wearing his brown political leaders tunic with bullion collar patches and wearing his peak cap. The third item is a five line hand written note by Dr Kolb on brown paper. Arthur Kolb was born in 1885, during WW1 he served with the Baruthia Corps for a period of time before returning to Germany to train as a dentist, he qualified in 1919. In 1920 he took part in the suppression of the Bavarian Soviet Republic in Nuremberg and also took part in the Kapp Putsch. During the early 1920's he was involved with the right wing Volkish politics of the time. In 1926 he joined the NSDAP and the SA serving as the adjutant to the SA Standartenfuhrer. Dr Kolb then became a political leader serving as a Reich speaker and he was also the Gau dental special consultant, he was also an elected member of the Reichstag for the NSDAP. From 1933 he headed the Bavarian state office for health insurance and was a senior member of the Reich doctors association. He was the Kreisleiter of Amberg until 1945. On the 22nd of April 1945 American forces approached the town of Amberg, Dr Kolb and several members of the town council planed to drive to Reigering but during this journey they came under fire from American forces and Kreisleter Kolb was shot in the stomach and captured by the American forces, he was taken back to Amberg and his wounds were bandaged, it seems that his identity then became known and he was then apparently dragged through the town of Amberg possibly attached to a vehicle, he was then shot in the head and his body thrown into a pigsty. Complete with some post war research. Near mint.

SS CHAINED LEADERS DAGGER, 1936 MODEL.
This is an early nickel silver example from the initial production period of 1936, latter examples are produced with plated fittings. The nickel silver hilt fittings are in fine condition. The black wooden grip is very high quality and fits the crossguard's perfectly, the grip is inset with the SS rune badge and silver eagle, there is a small flake to the grip on the obverse side lower left but this is covered with a silver portepee, the flake is shallow and not a major problem and could be easily repaired if required. The blade is in near mint condition, the obverse side features the SS motto, the reverse side is plain with out a makers name and which is correct for the 36 model SS dagger. The scabbard retains about 85% original black paint, most of the wear is to the reverse side, the scabbard fittings are matching nickel silver and the central mount is decorated with six highly detailed linked swastikas, the fitting is held in place by a single screw and this is what you normally see with a painted scabbard. Complete with a matching set of early 2nd pattern chains, the links still retain much black factory finish, the reverse side of one of the links is stamped with the SS Kulturzeichen mark, the spring clip is in perfect condition and still in working order. Complete with silver knot which were worn by Waffen SS and SD officers on there chained daggers. A very reasonably priced example because of the minor grip damage, with a perfect grip this would be a £7k dagger especially as this is the most desirable type of a chained SS dagger. EXC+
