ADOLF HITLER SILVER KNIFE, RARE SMALL SIZE.

ADOLF HITLER SILVER KNIFE, RARE SMALL SIZE.

This is a superb example of the silver formal pattern knife as used at the Reichchancellery in Berlin and at the Fuhrers home at Berchtesgaden. This is a rare example as it is very small so possibly a butter or relish knife, I have owned a number of the large knifes in the past but this is only the 2nd example of the rare small size knife I have owned. The knife measures just 6 1/2 inches or 7cm long. Silver handle, the obverse side features closed wing eagle and letters AH with a Greek key design to the border. The reverse side is marked 800 for the silver content and also the crown, moon and eagle mark. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of silver from Adolf Hitler's famous silver service and the knives are always very popular with collectors as they make a very nice letter opener on a collectors desk. Near mint,

LUFTWAFFE HONOUR GOBLET AWARDED TO KNIGHTS CROSS HOLDER AND ROYAL ARISTOCRAT, HAUPTMANN DIETER CLEMM

LUFTWAFFE HONOUR GOBLET AWARDED TO KNIGHTS CROSS HOLDER AND ROYAL ARISTOCRAT, HAUPTMANN DIETER CLEMM

Historically important Luftwaffe honour goblet belonging to a member Austria's former Royal family. The Luftwaffe Honour Goblet was Hermann Goring's personal award to his aircrew's and it is believed that less than 15,000 were ever awarded. The obverse side of the goblet features two eagles in combat, the reverse side features the design of the 1939 Iron cross. The base or foot of the goblet is embossed, FUR BESONDERE LEISTUNG IM LUFTKRIEG. Above this is the presentation inscription, HAUPTMANN DIETER CLEMM VON HOHENBERG AM 31.7.42. The base is marked with the makers details, Feinsilber, Alpaka, Auflage, Jon Wagner & Sohn. The goblet is in beautifull condition with an attractive age patina which could easily be cleaned if required. Deiter Hans Clemm Von Hohenberg was born in 1915, he served in WW2 as a Luftwaffe bomber pilot serving with 1/Kampfgeschwader 55 and he was the commander of 11 (k) Lehrgeschwader 1. His awards include, pilots badge, honour goblet, flyer's clasp in gold, EK2 & EK1, German cross in gold, Knights cross. He served in Poland 1939, France 1940, Russia/Stalingrad 1942/43, France 1944. He was killed in action on the 30.6.1944 and was posthumously promoted to Major. The Hohenbergs are an extremely important family as they are directly related to the Austrian Royal family and Archduke Ferdinand who was assassinated in 1914, this event was the main reason for war being declared in 1914 which became know as the great war or WW1.The original family titles include, Prince of Hohenberg and the Duke of Hohenberg. The family still exists and the family resides at Artstetten castle in Lower Austria and which is now open to the public. I have sold a fair few Luftwaffe Honour goblets over the years but this has to be the most historically important and certainly my favorite of all of them. [Condition: Mint]

GERMAN 1921 MODEL NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER, GOLD KNOT AND STRAPS.

GERMAN 1921 MODEL NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER, GOLD KNOT AND STRAPS.

This is a really difficult naval dagger model to find as the German Navy was very small at this time and most of the daggers which were issued were updated in 1928 with a white grip and in 1938 with the eagle pommel, so for a dagger to remain in its original 1921 form the owner had probably died or left the service by 1928. Brass flam ball pommel, the crossguard is the early style with a fouled anchor on the obverse side and a flower design on the reverse side with fitted push button. The black grip is in fine condition. The plain blade is in near mint condition. Lightning bolt scabbard with rope ring bands is in excellent condition. Complete with superb gold knot, the acorn is considerably smaller than what is seen on latter naval daggers and a good set of matching naval straps. A rare dagger model to find and especially nice as a complete set. Exc++
