LUFTWAFFE FORESTRY BAYONET / SIDARM BY WAFFEN LOESCHE BERLIN.
This is an extremely rare Third Reich sidearm, in over 30 years this is only the 6th example I have owned. Hermann Goring formed a forestry service to manage Luftwaffe forestry reserves close to air force instillations and also his own hunting estates such as Carenhall and it is believed that these rare sidearms were carried by the members of this very small elite forestry organisation. These sidearms resemble a bayonet but they do not have a fitment for attachment to a rifle so they can only be used as a hunting knife or parade sidearm. fine quality staghorn grip plates are in perfect condition and are held in place by three screw fittings. The simple steel crossguard is issued stamped 171. The blade is very nice just showing some faint age marks but it is still extremely bright, the obverse side is stamped CH.A.W and the reverse side is marked Waffen Loesche Berlin, the spine of the blade is stamped with the letter H. The scabbard still retains at least 95% original scabbard paint. Complete with a very nice Luftwaffe brown leather frog, the reverse side is stamped L.B.A , there are some other stamps but these are difficult to make out now. A rare Luftwaffe sidearm in extremely nice condition. Exc++
ARMY PROPAGANDA COMPANY NCO PEAK CAP.
The army propaganda company peak cap is probably the rarest of all the army hats as it was a very small unit within the German army consisting of mainly military reporters and photographers and it is actually the first example i have ever offered for sale in over 30 years as a Antique dealer. Fine quality field gray top with dark green center band and with lilac piping which was used only by the army propaganda company.Complete with metal army cap eagle, cockade and black leather chin strap which is held in place by two black side buttons. The interior of the cap features a pale brown lining, the celluloid diamond which is about 40% complete, the sweat band has a couple of old age splits but it is still complete and all remaining, the owner has written his details to the sweat band but it is hard to make out now. There are several tiny moth nips to the exterior of the hat but over all it is in very nice condition. A rare chance to own what is probably the rarest of all army peaked caps. [Condition: Exc++]

VICTOR LUTZE SPECIAL DAGGER STRAPS, REPRODUCTION.
These dagger straps come from the late Ivor Bush Collection, Ivor specialised in items that belonged to the SA Staff Chief Victor Lutze and at one time he owned the unique German army honour dagger and suspension straps that was awarded to Lutze in 1940, before he sold the dagger in the late 1980's he had two sets of straps specially made for his personal collection. Green cloth straps with silver bullion oakleaf decoration on red wool panels, the central design of the straps is a massive silver bullion eagle and swastika on red wool backing. The reverse side features green wool backing. The straps were never fitted with metal suspension clips but these would be fairly easy to obtain if need be. The straps are of very high quality. I have two identical sets available, the price is for a single example. It is believed only three or perhaps four army honour daggers were ever awarded, an original set of these straps would cost at least 20k but probably more. Complete with photocopy photograph of the original Lutze army Honour dagger with Ivor bush address details printed to the reverse side. Near mint condition. Reproduction.
RAD PHOTOGRAPH ALMBUM.
A very interesting photograph album with a superb brown cover which features a soldier on guard duty to the right side and silver eagle and swastika to the left side. The album contains approcamatly 120 photographs and covers 1940-1941 period, the first couple of pages depict a visit of high ranking officers including several Luftwaffe generals, it then continues with the owners day to day service with the RAD, training, marching, rifle practice, inspecting destroyed British airplanes, visit of high rank RAD officers for lunch in parkland, good uniform details. Nice interesting album with a superb cover. Exc++
HIGH RANKING POLITICAL LEADERS ID CARD FOR THE 1937 NURNBERG RALLY BELONGING TO FRITZ SCHMIDT.
Organisation Reich party day leaders ausweis green ID card showing issue number 72 with owners details and with superb photograph of Schmidt wearing early style pollical leaders uniform, the card shows Schmidt as member of the press and it is ink signed by SS Obergrupenfuhrer Schmauser. (SS General Schmauser's signature is rare and very collectable, he was very close to Himmler being the SS leader for Breslau, he visited Auschwitz concentration camp on several occasions with the RF and certainly new what was happening there, In 1945 he was apparently captured by the Russians and he was quickly executed). Fritz Schmidt was born on the 19.11.1903 at Eisdbergen Westphalia, he served in the Freikorps in the early 1920's, In 1922 he joined the NSDAP, in late 1923 the party was banned but he re-joined party when it was reformed in 1925. He worked for the party as a political leader during these early years serving as a public speaker, press and propaganda. He was awarded the gold party badge. Eventually he served on the personal staff of the Deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess, it was while serving with the DF staff that he became involved in the organisation of the Nuremburg Rally and was issued with this Ausweis ID card. In 1940 Reich Oberdienstleiter Schmidt was posted to Holland and served on the staff of Arthur Sayss Inquart the German Governor General of Holland, he served as head of the NSDAP Propaganda Department. He was a close supporter and friend of Anton Mussart the Dutch Fascist leader which brought him into conflict with the SS who supported a different Dutch Fascist leader. Schmidt hoped that Holland would eventually become a part of Germany and so probably it would be split into several Gau's and he was hoping to become one of its Gauleiters. Fritz Schmidt died in suspicious circumstances in 1943 after falling from a train, possibly assassinated by Dutch partisans or the SS. Historically important document with many areas of interest, Nuremberg rally, Political Leader, SS and Auschwitz camp, occupation of Holland. I also have a set of high ranking Reich level political leaders collar patches in stock which would be correct for his high party rank and would make a very nice set. Comes with some research but I am sure much more could be found. Near mint.
