WW1 GERMAN ARMY DMAG CRANK HANDLE FIGHTING KNIFE.
This is a very good example that has obviously seen a lot of actual combat use. Blued steel crank handle with riffle fitting to the hilt so the knife can be fitted to a riffle, the riffle slot is still in perfect working order. The crossguard has been slightly reduced in size almost certainly by the original owner and probably to make it more easy to handle in combat. The blade shows some slight age spotting, it is marked DEMAG DUISBURG & the obverse side is stamped DRGM, the blade has been very slightly reduced in size and to a needle point, the edges of the blade have been lightly sharpened to make it even more lethal in combat. Complete with black painted scabbard which is fitted with a black leather belt loop which shows a fair bit of wear, the grip retaining strap was removed a long time ago. A fascinating WW1 German combat knife that must have had an interesting history. [Condition: Exc+]
