LUFTWAFFE 1ST MODEL / DLV DAGGER BY SMF COMPLETE WITH CHAIN HANGER.

LUFTWAFFE 1ST MODEL / DLV DAGGER BY SMF COMPLETE WITH CHAIN HANGER.

This is a scarce and very early production Luftwaffe dagger that has a solid leather scabbard and the fitting held in place by large metal staples rather than screws, this pattern is believed to have been worn by the DLV and also the Luftwaffe, they date from the initial production period of this model dagger in 1935 before factory standardization took over. All early nickel silver hilt fittings, excellent detail to the brass swastikas to the pommel and crossguard. The grip is in perfect condition. Near mint blade by SMF Solingen, it is also stamped with an acceptance stamp. The scabbard as mentioned above is solid leather rather than the more typical latter type which is leather over a metal shell, the springs inside the scabbard have moved slightly over the years and there is the typical bulge to the lower part of the scabbard which is often seen with daggers of this early vintage and is nice to see, all 3 scabbard fittings are held in place by large metal staples which are seen only on very early production daggers. Complete with matching nickel silver chain hanger. A very nice dagger, it is very difficult to find these early pattern daggers with stapled fittings. [Condition: Exc++]

NSFK MANS KEPI.

NSFK MANS KEPI.

This is a very rare kepi for the NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYING KORPS, this organization was formed from the membership of the DLV in 1937, its aim to promote civilian flying clubs and by this time they all belonged to the NSFK, most of its membership were eventually enrolled into the Luftwaffe. Blue body with yellow piping to crown and the caps center band, complete with metal NSFK eagle, silver button and black leather chin strap. The interior features the typical late 1930's oil cloth lining, the sweat band is in perfect condition. A very difficult hat to find as the organization was fairly small. [Condition: Near Mint]

ALLGEMINE SS OTHER RANKS KEPI.

ALLGEMINE SS OTHER RANKS KEPI.

This is one of the harder pieces of SS headdress to find and although it was replaced by the peaked cap in 1932 it was still worn as part of the SS traditional uniform with the brown shirt on special occasions as late 1940 if not latter. Black wool body with cloth visor, each side of the kepi there are two sets of air grommets often seen on original kepis. Complete with early style metal eagle, below this is a black button and then the SS early style skull, the original owner has inserted a small piece of red cloth behind the skull to make the eyes appear red, it certainly looks very sinister, the black leather chin strap is the SS style and it is held in place by two black side buttons. Interior of the cap features black silk lining with brown leather sweat band showing light wear and age. A very rare hat seldom offered for sale and far harder to find than the latter peaked cap. This hat is in fine condition just showing light war to the inside, there are a couple of tiny moth nips to the exterior but these are very minor. Provenance, this SS kepi was originally from the prestigious Stephen Lee collection of the Allgemine SS. [Condition: Near Mint]

ALLGEMINE SS OFFICER AUSWEIS ID CARD WITH UNIFORM PHOTOGRAPH.

ALLGEMINE SS OFFICER AUSWEIS ID CARD WITH UNIFORM PHOTOGRAPH.

An excellent example of an SS officers Fuhrer Ausweis card belonging to SS Hauptsturmfuhrer (Captain) Karl Seekatz with superb photograh of Seekatz wearing a black Algemine SS tunic and wearing early style SS peaked cap, he served with Stammabt Rhein Bez 93, his SS number is 36,952 and he was an early member of the NSDAP with membership number 112,027.The reverse side of the card gives authorization to carry a firearm, the card was issued in 1937 and it has issue stamps until 1944 and it has a facsimile signature of Himmler and an original ink signature of an SS Oberfuhrer who was the officer who issued the card. The card shows light as it was carried for many years and also has a punch hole probably from being an official file at some time.SS officers Ausweis cards are exceptionally difficult to find especially with a uniform photograph and it would look really nice displayed with an SS chained dagger or perhaps an SS officers peak cap. WAFFEN SS OFFICERS WEHRPASS WITH UNIFORM PHOTOGRAPH SERVED WITH LAH, GERMANIA, SS SCHOOL.

WAFFEN SS OFFICERS WEHRPASS WITH UNIFORM PHOTOGRAPH SERVED WITH LAH, GERMANIA, SS SCHOOL.

This superb Werpass belonged to SS Obersturmfuhrer Friedrich Witte and it is complete with its official photograph showing Witte wearing his Black SS officers tunic. The Wehrpass has many entry's and it is one of the nicest examples i have offered for sale for a very long time and being to a highly decorated SS officer makes it especially rare. SS Obersturmfuhrer Freidrich Witte was born on the 5.7.1913, he joined the SS on the 14.8.1934 serving with the SS Adolf Hitler Leibstandarte Regiment from 1934 until 1937 and received steady promotion in the NCO ranks. In 1937 he was commissioned as an SS officer and was then transfered to the SS Germania Regiment serving with this Regiment from 1937 until 1939, in 1939 he was transfered to the SS officer training school an Braunschweig obviously serving as an instructor, he was then transfered to the SS Totenkopf Regiment. In 1939 he was promoted to SS Oberstumfuhrer. His awards included the Iron cross 1st and 2nd class both for bravery in Russia. Freidrich Witt was killed in action in Russia on the 26.9.1941.There is also a very nice small phonograph of SS Obersturmfuhrer Witte in full SS uniform holding his young son. It is exceptionally rare to find an SS Werpass belonging to an SS officer with uniform photograph and who was highly decorated and served with some of the very best units of the Waffen SS, this book really has it all. VERY RARE BLOOD ORDER MEDAL.

VERY RARE BLOOD ORDER MEDAL.

The Blood Order medal is one of the highest awards of the NSDAP and was held in high esteem during the period and certainly since by collectors and historians and It has been several years since i have been able to offer a blood order medal as they have become exceptionally difficult to obtain recently, the example I have available is a 2nd pattern in superb near mint condition. The obverse side features a highly detailed eagle clutching a wreath with date 9 Nov and to the viewers right, Munchen 1923-33. The reverse side features the highly detailed Feldherrnhalle monument with large swastika and inscription which translates to, AND YET YOU HAVE CONQUERED, the medal is also stamped at the bottom with issue number 4024 and the silver content number 800. The medal still retains almost all original silver frosted finish just showing very light wear from being actually worn.Complete with original ribbon. It is believed that there were less the 4500 blood orders awarded making it one of the harder awards to find and it is considerably rarer than the knights cross and in my opinion much better value. THIRD REICH HUNTING ASSOCIATION EAGLE FOOT SILVER MOUNTED CIGAR CUTTER.

THIRD REICH HUNTING ASSOCIATION EAGLE FOOT SILVER MOUNTED CIGAR CUTTER.

This is an amazing thing and probably unique, an eagles foot or talon that has been almost completely silver mounted, fitted at the hilt with a cigar cutter and mounted to the top surface is the insignia of the Third Reich hunting association being a stags head with swastika and organization initials DJ, this badge is the same as you find on the dagger but considerably larger, perhaps 4 times the size. The cigar cutter is still in working order. The leg of the eagle is completely in-cased in silver oakleaves with just its claws showing. An amazing unique item that probably belonged to someone of importance as it would certainly have been a very expensive item to produce at the time. [Condition: Exc++]
