DLV / NSFK FLYER'S KNIFE BY RARE MAKER COMPLETE WITH HANGER.
This is a very early production example of the 1934 DLV dagger by E. P & S (Pack Solingen) which is a very rare maker for this model dagger. All early nickel silver fittings have a nice black age patina as they have not been cleaned for a very long time, the black enamel swastikas to the crossguard are in perfect condition. Fine condition blue leather grip showing just slight use and handerling but no damage. The blade of this example is very interesting as it is by Pack Solingen with there Seigfried trade mark, although this company is well known for there SA daggers and other models i do not recall ever having a DLV by this maker before and so it is obviously a very rare maker for this model dagger, the blade is also in very nice condition. The scabbard still retains all original blue leather and it is complete with matching early quality silver fittings, the scabbard throat is double stamped with the DLV acceptance stamp and also the NSFK acceptance stamp something not seen that often and it shows that the original owner of this dagger transfered from the DLV to the NSFK when this organization was established in 1937.When i purchased this dagger the original leather was complete but a little faded with age but some dark blue leather polish brought the colour back to life perfectly. A very interesting DLV dagger by a rare maker which is double marked and in fine condition. Some might remember this dagger as I featured it in one of the December up-dates, it was quickly reserved and payment was promised but never received so i am featuring it again. [Condition: Exc++]
