ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BY EICKHORN, THE WRANGEL MODEL IN NEAR MINT CONDITION
This sword is in exceptional condition and it is from the Eickhorn Fieldmarshall series of sword modals and this example is the Wrangel model. The hilt retains almost 100% gilt finish and the detail to the army eagle and oakleath decoration is exceptional. The black celluloid grip is in mint condition. The impressive blade is in mint condition and it is stamped with the Eickhorn Solingen 1935 / 41 pattern trade mark. The obverse side features Colin Jordan wearing NS style uniform with inscription, BRITISH NATIONAL SOCALIST MOVEMENT, COLIN JORDAN 1923-2009. The reverse side has the following inscription, BRITISH MOVEMENT B.N.S.M. TOGETHER WE CAN TURN THE DEFEAT OF 1945 INTO BUT A LOST BATTLE IN A CONTINUING WAR FROM WHICH WE SHALL EMERGE VICTORIOS, BRITAIN AWAKE AND WITH SIGNATURE OF COLIN JORDAN. GERMAN WW2 ARMY INFANTRY OFFICERS PEAK CAP.
Interesting late war example. The wool top has a slight colour tint to the field grey cloth which is occasionally seen on late war army caps, an interesting variation, green wool centre band with white piping which is also unusual as it is a ribbed style of piping which almost looks like chain stitching. Complete with metal eagle and deluxe silver bullion cockade and it is fitted with silver officers cap cords which are held in place with two small silver buttons. The interior of the hat features a grey artificial silk lining with celluloid patch with makers name, W.Thirle, Karlstr 27, Munchen, the hat is fitted with a late style sweat band which is still complete with just some age wear. Several small moth nips to the hat but over all it is still in extremely nice condition and it is certainly an interesting variation. Exc++
NSKK CHAINED LEADERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.
Chained NSKK officers daggers have become very difficult to find over the last few years and this is an especially nice example by Eickhorn. The brown wooden grip is in mint condition with inset SA insignia and grey metal eagle which is typical for a war time example. All silver plated hilt fittings are in very nice condition with almost all plating remaining. The blade is in mint condition with almost all crossgrain remaining, the obverse side display the SA motto with factory frosting, the reverse side is maker marked, RZM M7/66 which is the makers code for Eickhorn and it is also dated 1942 which was the last year of dagger production in Germany, after that the factory\'s concentrated on bayonets, fighting knifes and war production. The scabbard retains 98% original black paint and it is fitted with matching silver plated mounts which are also in superb condition, the throat of the top fitting is the slightly thicker type which is normally seen on daggers by Eickhorn. The dagger is complete with a set of NSKK chains with four upper links and fiver lower links which is what is normally seen on these rare daggers, the reverse side of one of the lower link is stamped, MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK KORPSFUHRUNG, and the opposite link is stamped RZM M5/ this mark has been lightly stamped and so the last number is not visible but this is not unusual and I have seen this a number of times with these chained daggers and also other items. Complete with leather belt loop. An exceptionally nice example, other RZM makers are seen but personally I would only buy an example by Eickhorn. Chained NSKK daggers are much rarer than SS chained daggers and so harder to find. Near mint
