THIRD REICH NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD BY WKC WITH EXTREMLY RARE U-BOAT DECORATED ETCHED BLADE.
During the Third Reich WKC offered naval officers swords with four types of blade finish, 1) plain blade, 2) blade etched with battle ships with flags, 3) blade etched with battle ships with swastika decorated flags, 4) the rarest of all was a blade decorated with a U-boat, battle ships, sea plane, eagle and swastika and the naval war memorial. Over the last 40 years as a dealer and collector this is only the 2nd WKC U-boat decorated sword of this very rare model that I have owned, it is exceptionally rare. Gilt brass lions head hilt which still retains some gilt finish, the highly detailed lions head features glass eyes, one is red and one is green which is the naval style for officers swords. The obverse folding guard features the fouled anchor with foliage decoration, the reverse locking plate features a stamped number, my previous example also featured a number but what it represents I am not sure but it is not in my opinion a stores number. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition and it still retains all the gilt grip wire. The blade is exceptional, the obverse side is stamped WKC with there knights head trade mark, the blade is etched with a long floral panel and features two large ships, sea plane and also a large eagle and swastika. The reverse side of the blade also features a long floral panel decorated with a large and highly detailed U-boat, sea plane, large naval ships and a representation of the naval war memorial, there are a few minor age marks mostly to the lower part of the blade but they are very minor and over all the blade is in extremely nice condition. Black leather scabbard is in fine condition and it is fitted with three matching gilt brass fittings, the fittings are held in place by metal staples, the lower fitting is missing the staple but the fitting is still firmly held in place. An exceptionally rare sword which is often missing from even the very most advanced collections. Exc++
BRITISH VICTORIAN SWORD STICK.
Ornate factory blackened iron animals head pommel. The shaft or scabbard is produced in steel and then covered in fine black leather. Pulling the handle from the shaft reveals a long lethal steel blade. Exc++
ANTIQUE JAPANEASE WAGERSAKI SHORT SWORD.
Fish skin grip with binding and fitted with an ornate manuka to each side. Iron pommel and ornate iron suba. Blade features Hammon line, one tiny nick in cutting edge of blade but other than that the blade is in near mint condition. Dark red lacquered scabbard fitted with small knife with ornate handle and plain blade. Circa 1880. Exc++
SS 1933 MODEL DAGGER BY BOKER COMPLETE WITH VERTICAL HANGER.
This is an exceptional example and SS daggers by Boker are one of the most desirable makers to find. All early nickel silver fittings, the lower crossguard is stamped I for Berlin. The black wooden grip is in fine condition and it is inset with silver eagle and SS runic badge. The blade is in extremely nice condition with much factory finish remaining to the SS motto, the reverse side is etched with the Boker art deco style trade mark featuring there tree design and makers details Boker Solingen, this pattern of trade mark was used by Boker from the late summer of 1934 for probably about a year, the earlier trade mark was a small oval and is often seen on Rohm daggers. Black anodised scabbard is also in fine condition with no dents or damage, it is fitted with matching nickel silver fittings, the lower ball has a few tiny dents from wear but difficult to see until closely examined. The dagger is complete with original leather vertical hanger, I doubt if it has ever been removed from the dagger and I am not going to take it of to look for markings, there is a green residue which you often see when leather has been in contact with nickel for a very long time and it is a nice feature to see. It would be difficult to find a nicer SS dagger. Exc++
LUFTWAFFE AIR GUNNERS AND RADIO OPERATORS BADGE.
This is a superb example which still retains much original silver finish to the wreath and factory bluing to the eagle which is holding lightning bolts in its talons. The reverse side features pin and hook. Near Mint.
THIRD REICH NSFK KEPI.
NSFK kepi's have always been difficult to find as they were one of the smaller party organizations. Dark blue kepi with yellow piping to the crown and the body of the kepi, complete with aluminum eagle, metal button and black leather chin strap which is held in place by two black side buttons.The interior features a cloth lining with makers stamp and size stamp 57 and the brown leather sweat band is in perfect condition.There is no RZM label which is correct for an NSFK kepi because although the National Socialist Flying Korps was a party organization there uniforms and equipment was not controlled by the RZM. LUFTWAFFE PRESENTATION 830 SILVER SALVER.
Large circular silver salver with decorative edging. Presentation inscription to the centre of the salver, PERSONNLAMT R.L.M 1.10.1933 - 1938 with large 1st model Luftwaffe eagle and swastika, the detail to the eagle is exceptional. The reverse side of the salver is silver marked 830 and with with crown, moon and makers mark. R,L.M are the initials of the, Reich Air Ministry, the head of the Ministry was Hermann Goring. Exc++
CASED EAGLE ORDER 2ND CLASS WITH SWORDS.
Superb gilt cross that still retains all white enamel finish, attached to the centre of the cross are a set of crossed swords which are carefully attached to the cross by silver soldier. The reverse side features pin and hook, the pin is silver marked 800. Complete with red leather box of issue with gold eagle and swastika to the exterior lid of the box, the interior lid is printed in gold with the award details. Mint.
GOLD PARTY BADGE OF THE NSDAP, LARGE SIZE.
This is a superb 30mm example in fine condition. The enamel centre is in perfect condition. The oakleath wreath still retains much original gilt finish. The reverse side is marked, GES GESCH and with the owners NSDAP membership number below, 38765. The badge is fitted with the safety style pin and hook and the pin plate is marked, DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN 9. The badge is complete with leatherette box that the original owner stored the badge in but it is not an NSDAP issue box. Original gold party badges have become very difficult to find in the last few years. Near mint.
THIRD REICH NAVAL U.BOAT BADGE.
Nice quality badge still retaining some original gilt finish with excellent detail to the U-boat. The reverse side features metal hook and silver pin. This style of badge is attributed to the maker Otto Schickle. Exc++
