JAPANEASE WW2 ARMY OFFICERS SWORD.
Cloth bound grip complete with three manuka to each side, The decorative brass fittings are in excellent condition and complete with matching suba. The blade has some age spotting and several small nicks to the cutting edge, there is a very impressive hammon line to the blade edge which is still very visible and is often a sign of a quality blade. Black wooden scabbard with desirable brown leather covering. A very nice un-touched officers katana which has never been in a collection. I have not taken the sword apart to see if it is signed and I have no intension of doing so, I will leave that to the next owner. Exc++
GERMAN MANUFACTURED ITALIAN FASCIST YOUTH DAGGER BY HORSTER WITH EXTRA LARGE EAGLES HEAD HILT.
This is only the 3rd example of the rare German produced Italian Fascist youth dagger that I have owned and they were all produced by the German edged weapon company Horster Solingen and they are considerably larger than the standard Italian produced youth knife and as you would expect better quality. Large gilt eagle head hilt with very large open beak. The black leather grip is in fine condition. Simple gilt brass crossguard. The blade is deeply stamped Horster Solingen and it is longer than the standard Italian produced blade and it is in excellent condition. The black leather scabbard is in fine condition just showing light wear and it is similar in design to the previous examples I have owned. Exc++
BRITISH WW2 NAVAL MIDSHIPMANS DIRK WITH OWNERS INITIALS.
It is unusual to find a British midshipman\'s dagger from the WW2 period as most date from WW1 or before. Fine detail to the lions head hilt with much gilt remaining, the crossguard features the naval anchor with kings crown. The white fish skin grip is in perfect condition. The double etched blade is by Gieves which was a very high quality maker, the blade is double etched with long foliage panels, featuring crowned anchor and royal coat of arms for King George the 6th (1937 - 1951), the blade is in over all excellent condition. Black leather scabbard with brass fittings, the locking spring is in good working order, the reverse side of the top fitting is engraved with the original owners initials, F.R.L so it should be fairly easy to discover the name of the original owner of this dirk and his naval service. PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL BY HUNTSMAN BOSTON.
A very attractive antique pocket pistol in good working order. Barrel unscrews and both parts are marked 1 and have proof marks. The frame is engraved Huntsman Boston (Lincolnshire) within decorative engraving. Sliding safety catch. Wooden grip with silver escutcheon. Size approcamatly 5 inches or 12cm. Vey nice quality English percussion pistol dating to about 1840. Size approcamatly 5 inches or 12cm. Exc++
WW1 BRITISH SILVER CIGARETTE CASE BELONGING TO MAJOR STEWART BRANDER OF THE R.A.M.C.
A superb solid silver cigarette case with an inlaid enamel badge of the RAMC Regiment (Royal Army Medical Corps). The inside of the case is in gilt with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1917 with makers initials, the case still retains the two small cloth straps for holding the cigarette in place. The reverse side of the case is engraved with the officers details, H.STEWART BRANDER MAJOR RAMC. Major Brander was born in Yorkshire in 1880, he attended Aberdeen university and graduated as a medical doctor in 1906. His first posting was to the Asylum at Perth, he then spent many years at the Keighley town Hospital in Yorkshire. During WW1 he served as a Major at a military hospital. He served in a number of medical positions during the 1920\'s and 1930\'s,he died in the winter of 1939. Near Mint.
CASED SS 12 YEAR LONG SERVICE MEDAL.
This is a superb example of the silver SS long service cross which is formed as a swastika and it still retains much original factory silver frosted finish, the SS runes to the medal are very impressive, the medal is fitted with the correct teardrop suspension loop and bevelled ring. Complete with blue ribbon with Silver bullion SS runes. The black leatherette box with silver SS runes to the lid, the interior base of the box is lined in red velvet and it is fitted for the cross and the ribbon. Condition: Near Mint
SS 4 YEAR SERVICE MEDAL COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX.
This superb cased medal is in mint condition. The medal still retains all of its factory finish. Suspension ring is the correct bevelled type and it is complete with the correct tear drop suspension loop. The blue silk ribbon is in perfect condition. Complete with black card box of issue with the SS runes to the lid. The medal and ribbon are in mint condition and the box is near mint. It would be difficult to improves on this one.
HITLER YOUTH KNIFE BY JACOBS, RARE VARIATION WITH CELLULOID BELT LOOP.
The black celluloid grip plates are in mint condition and it is complete with enamel HJ swastika diamond badge to the obverse side which is also in perfect condition. The hilt fittings are silver plated and retains 98% original plating, the wear is from the rubbing of the grip strap. The blade is in mint condition, the reverse side is etched with the makers mark, RZM M7/35 which is the makers mark for Rudolf Jacobs Solingen, the blade retains the factory cross grain finish. The scabbard retains 99% original black paint and it is fitted with an unusual celluloid belt loop and grip retaining strap, it is known that celluloid belt loops can be found on late war production HJ knifes (late production RLB enlisted mans daggers can also be found with celluloid hangers). An interesting HJ dagger in superb near mint condition.
THIRD REICH NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY WKC WITH ORANGE GRIP, COMPLETE WITH KNOT.
The superb dark orange grip is in mint condition. The pommel and crossguard still retains some gilt finish with excellent detail to the eagle pommel. The blade is by WKC and it is double etched with the dolphin and fouled anchor design and it is in near mint condition. The WKC pattern hammered scabbard is in fine condition and still retains some gilt finish. Complete with silver knot. An extremely nice example of the highly desirable WKC orange grip naval dagger.
