CASED LUFTWAFFE GROUND ASSAULT BADGE.
This is an especially nice high quality example. The wreath still retains almost all original silver frosted finish with much bluing remaining to the clouds and lightning strike, the detail to the separately applied Luftwaffe eagle is exceptional. The reverse side features pin and hook, makers mark M.u.K and three small ball rivets that hold the eagle in place. Complete with rare blue leatherette issue case with award details to the lid, ErdKampf-Abz, the interior of the case is fitted for the award. A very nice rare set. [Condition: Near Mint]
LUFTWAFFE GRAVITY KNIFE BY SMF.
This is the gravity knife type that cannot be dismantled.The brown wooden grip plates are in perfect condition.The merlin spike is waffen amp stamped.The blade is in excellent condition and it is maker marked SMF Solingen.These knifes were issued to Luftwaffe paratroopers and aircrew's and they have become very difficult to find, this example has been issued and used but it is still in extremely nice condition. SA ENAMEL ADVERTISING SIGN.
The sign advertises the cigarette brand SA Trommler which was owned by the SA .The SA cigarette company was founded in 1929 offering several brands of cigarettes and produced substantial funds for the SA organization. Yellow, blue and white enamel sign depicting a cigarette with the SA insignia clearly visible on the cigarette and also at the top left hand corner of the sign. The sign is also maker marked with the enamel manufactures company name. Removed from a building but in very nice condition. Size 30 x 20 CM so perfect small size for display. [Condition: Exc++]
A FINE QUALITY PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX REVOLVER BY COGSWELL OF LONDON.
Six shot fluted barrels with proof marks.The frame is beautifully floral engraved on both sides, the bar hammer is also engraved.The top of the gun is engraved, Cogswell Strand London. Fine quality wood grip which is nicely chequered and it is fitted with a plain silver escutcheon. A very high quality London made pepperbox pistol dating to about 1850. [Condition: Exc++]
ANTIQUE ENGLISH FLINT LOCK PISTOL.
A very nice flint lock pocket pistol dating to about 1820.The frame is decorated with crossed flags and foliage and with makers name, Booth Huddersfield.The flint lock is still all complete and in working order.The wooden slab type grip is also in perfect condition. Nice example. [Condition: Exc++]
ENGLISH BLUNDERBUSS PERCUSSION PISTOL BY WILKES OF LONDON.
Long 8 inch barrel with wide flared muzzle end of wide boar, the top flat edged engraved, WILKES, ST JAMES, LONDON. The lock plate is border and scroll engraved and signed Wilkes. Full wooden stock with engraved steel mounts and chequered wooden butt with plain silver escutcheon. Complete with brass tipped ramrod. The percussion action is still in good working order. A very impressive large pistol dating to about 1840, a real man stopper . [Condition: Exc++]
SS OFFICERS SWORD COMPLETE WITH SS KNOT AND HANGER, NEAR MINT CONDITION.
This SS officers sword / degen is in beautiful condition and it has all early nickel silver fittings and probably dates to about 1937.The grip is in perfect condition and it is fitted with silver circular runic badge.The hilt fittings are nickel silver and the underside of the hilt is stamped with the SS acceptance stamp. The pommel is the special SS style that screws into the hilt of the sword and not the blade tang and the silver cap is still in place over the tang (on a police swords the pommel screws onto the blade tang). Mint plain blade with out makers name which is totally correct for an SS officers sword as they are normally marked Krebs, PMD or un-marked with out a makers name, the white blade buffer pad is still in place. The scabbard retains at least 98% original black paint and it is complete with matching nickel silver mounts, the upper mount is stamped with the SS acceptance stamp and the lower mount is held in place by pressure and not screws which is correct for an SS officers sword and it is what you hope to see. Complete with black leather sword hanger and rare hard to find black and silver bullion sword knot with SS runes to the stem and which is also in really nice condition. A beautiful SS officers sword which would be very difficult to improve on. [Condition: Near Mint]
CASED LUFTWAFFE OBSERVERS BADGE BY ASSMANN.
This is an extremely nice high quality example of a Luftwaffe observers badge. The wreath still retains almost all silver frosted finish and the eagle retains much factory blued finish, the detail to the eagle which clutches a swastika in its talons is exceptional.The reverse side is stamped with a capital A for the maker Assmann and it is complete with pin and hook.The blue leatherette box is in fine condition with award title to the lid. WW1 BRITISH MILITARY CROSS GROUP OF 5 AWARDS AND LARGE ARCHIVE TO CAPTAIN KINNERSLEY.
This superb very large WW1 set comprises, parade mounted set of four medals, Military cross for bravery, War Medal, Victory medal and WW2 Defense medal and it is contained in the original jewelers storage box who probably mounted the medals for the Captain.The King George the 5th Police Special Constabulary medal in leatherette box and which is named to Kinnersley. Set of four miniature 1930's matching parade mounted medals including the Military Cross. Sports medallion in original issue box. WW2 ARP silver hallmarked badge with original issue box. Selection of coloured post cards mostly military designs and with writing to the reverse side. A large grouping of Military photographs of Captain Kinneraley and his comrades, one shows him smoking a pip and wearing his military cross ribbon on his army tunic. Several WW1 military maps. Bunker design maps. Selection of books dealing with artillery guns and military drill including his own note book with hand written details of field gun defense and combat tactics.Various official military documents including, Army orders dated June 6th 1918 listing various military personnel receiving bravery awards including Lieutenant Kinnersleys who is award of the MC. Various letter from 1915/16 attempting to obtain an officers commission but with much difficultly as very few places were available, eventually he received a commission with the Warrickshire Artillery which was a long way from his home in Somerset. Official army document dated 1917 and sending 2nd Lt Kinnersley to France. Newspaper entry for his MC from the Times and dated September the 27th 1918, Lt N.S.Kinnersley RFA , For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in keeping the enemy at bay for a considerable time by laying over open sights whilst subjected to heavy rifle and machine gun fire, he succeeded in evacuating the wounded before retiring and passed through valuable information from time to time. During WW2 Captain Kinnersley served as the commanding officer of an ARP unit (Air Raid Protection), there are two superb photographs of him with his ARP unit and he is actually wearing his medal bar including his military cross on his ARP uniform. A superb large military cross grouping to a very brave officer, i am sure much more could be uncovered with careful research. [Condition: Near Mint]
EAGLE ORDER 1ST CLASS WITH SUSPENSION RIBBON.
This superb medal still retains 100% original gilt finish and the white enamel is in mint condition.The suspension ring is marked 900 for the silver content. Complete with original silk suspension ribbon.A beautiful example of this rare neck award. [Condition: Mint]
