SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL, NEAR MINT RZM EXAMPLE COMPLETE WITH VERTICAL HANGER .
This is an RZM example in exceptional condition and it is rare to find a late example as nice as this one. All silver plating remaining to hilt fittings.The black wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is complete with SS runic badge and Silver eagle. Mint blade, the obverse side features the SS motto, the obverse side the makers details, RZM 1196 / 38 SS. Complete with matching scabbard which still retains most of the original black factory paint and matching plated fittings. Complete with scarce black leather vertical frog hanger, the inside is SS RZM marked and interestingly the securing strap is also RZM marked. This is a really nice example, if you are looking for an SS dagger from the RZM period i can highly recommend this one. [Condition: Near Mint]
DELUXE NAVAL DAGGER BY WKC WITH SPECIAL UNIQUE SCABBARD COMPLETE WITH KNOT, HANGERS, BROCADE BELT, T
This amazing set belonged to ship building engineer and U.Boat designer Oberleutnant Ulrich Gabler, during WW2 he served as chief engineer officer on U121 and U564 which was then under the command of the U.boat hero, Reinhard Suhren . Gabler's awards included German Cross in gold, iron cross 1st & 2nd class, he was also recommended for the knights cross by Suhren but apparently this was turned down. He survived the war and subsequently started a company developing and designing submarines, he died in 1994 and this set comes from his family in Germany. All early brass hilt fittings still retaining some original gilt finish, excellent detail to the eagle pommel with good clear swastika.The orange grip is in mint condition.The blade is by WKC and it is double etched with the fouled anchor and dolphin design, there is some faint patches of age spotting but over all this is an extremely nice blade.The scabbard is a very rare extra deluxe pattern featuring panels of oakleaves and acorns, WKC produced at least 10 special scabbard patterns all are extremely rare but this is one of the harder one's to find of the set. Complete with silver knot, brocade belt with with silver administration buckle and matching naval hanger also with silver fittings which is correct for an engineer officer involved with naval technical design although he eventually achieved combat experience. The dagger is contained in its original blue wool naval dagger storage bag, attached to the bag is Gablers aluminium ID or dog tag which is stamped, A ULRICH GABLER JNG.OFFZ.R.1939. A superb historical set of museum quality which comes with some research concerning the owner but i am sure much more could be easily located.
LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS PEAKED CAP, EARLY HIGH QUALITY EXAMPLE NAMED TO ORIGINAL OWNER.
This is a very nice nice high quality Luftwaffe officers peaked cap with good high front. Blue wool top with black center band and silver officers piping, complete with scarce 1st pattern silver bullion Luftwaffe eagle, cockade and cap cords which are held in place by two silver buttons.The interior of the hat shows some age and wear, the sweat band is complete but it does have several splits, celluloid patch witch is 75% complete and has full makers name and under the celluloid patch is a paper insert with the original officers name, Dr Hochholzer. The cap a classic looking example showing actual war as you would expect for such an early example and these early Luftwaffe offices hats are rare and being named it would make an interesting research project.[Condition: Exc++]
THIRD REICH TENO CAR PENNANT.
Triangular white pennant with machine woven Teno insignia, large black swastika on red background with Teno cogwheel and Teno initials. Black, white and red piping to two sides, the third side has cord loops for attachment to a vehicle. A difficult pennant to find as are most Teno items. No moth or damage. Exc++
LUFTWAFFE FLIGHT UNIT NCO PEAKED CAP.
This is a good looking example which has been worn but is still in nice condition. Dark blue cloth body with black ribbed center band and yellow piping as used by Luftwaffe flight units and paratroopers. The cap is complete with black leather chinstrap, metal 2nd pattern Luftwaffe eagle and matching cockade. The interior is fitted with brown cloth lining with plain celluloid patch which is size marked 57, complete with artificial leather sweat band which is complete but has several splits. Exc++
LUFTWAFFE DLV / 1ST MODEL DAGGER BY WAYERSBERG, UNIQUE VARIATION.
This is a very unusual early transitional example with features I have not seen before. All early nickel silver fittings with brass swastikas still retaining some original silver finish, the underside of the crossguard is stamped with issue number 171 and it is interestingly stamped over a previous number which appears to be 231. The blue leather grip is in perfect condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is by Paul Wayersberg Solingen, normally Wayersberg blades have a waffen amp stamp but this one does not probably because it is of such early production. The scabbard is very unusual, the three metal fittings are held in place with staples but each fitting also has a pair of screws, this is the first time I have ever seen this, the scabbard shell is solid metal with a blue leather covering rather than the very early solid leather type which you would normally expect to see with staple held fittings. The scabbard leather shows wear and age but it is all complete, the seam is not so well concealed as on later examples but it is still professionally applied. The top scabbard mount is stamped with matching issue numbers 171 and again this is stamped over the previous number 231, there is also an unusual waffen amp stamp and the owner has also engraved his name Muller but it is not professionally applied as he obviously did it himself . Complete with chain hanger. If you collect Luftwaffe daggers this would be a very interesting example to obtain and almost certainly no one else will have one as it is the first one I have seen in 35 years as a dealer. Exc++
LUFTWAFFE OFFFICERS SWORD, EARLY QUALITY EXAMPLE BY WAYERSBERG.
This is a superb early nickel silver example which has never been cleaned and so has an attractive age patina. Fine detail to the swastika pommel and crossguard. The blue leather grip is in excellent condition. Near mint blade by Paul Wayersberg Solingen. The superb scabbard still retains all of its blue leather covering and it is fitted with nickel silver mounts which have a matching patina. Complete with leather moon shaped hanger. A very nice Luftwaffe sword and these early example's are always in high demand and so difficult to find especially when in nice condition like this one is and which would be close to near mint if it was cleaned, but personally I would never do that. NAVAL 1ST PATTERN E.BOAT BADGE.
A very nice example of this rare naval badge which is far harder to find than the 2nd pattern and is often the missing badge from a naval badge collection. The wreath still retains about 90% original gilt finish, fine detail to the 1st patten boat.The reverse features pin and hook and also small retaining hook. A very nice example of a rare badge. WW2 JAPANESE ARMY OFFICERS SWORD.
A very nice Japanese army officers Katana sword. Cloth bound grip. Gilt brass pommel and decorative suba. Blade shows light wear but it is still in excellent condition with a good clear hamon. Brown leather covered scabbard is in excellent condition. A small leather strap secures the sword to the scabbard but the tip of the strap is now missing. A very nice sword in excellent condition. I have not taken the sword apart and I have no intension of doing so.[Condition: Exc++]
THIRD REICH RIFLE ASSOCIATION DAGGER BY ALCOSO.
This model dagger was introduced into service in 1939 and they are very difficult to find especially when in nice condition. Silver plated hilt fitting in fine condition, the clamshell features the Riffle association circular enamelled badge with a black enamelled eagle with target board on its breast and with organization title and two small swastikas. The white celluloid grip is complete with two crossed rifles, the grip is in mint condition which is remarkable as these grips are normally cracked as they are very fragile. The blade is in near mint condition and it is by Alcoso Solingen featuring there 1938 / 40 trade mark so this dagger is from the initial production, the blade is double etched with target board, stags in forest designs and all set in long ornate floral panels, very impressive and superb condition. Black leather scabbard with matching silver plated mounts also in fine condition. Complete with matching black leather frog hanger. A very nice example of a rare dagger. [Condition: Near Mint]
