GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD, LUFTWAFFE BACKING.
A very nice cloth type German cross in gold on Luftwaffe backing. Superb example removed from a tunic. Provenance, from a British guard at the Ipswich POW camp. Mint
SS CHAINED LEADERS DAGGER, 1936 MODEL.
The SS officers dagger is probably the most desirable of all German daggers and no collection is complete with out at least one example. This is an early example produced in nickel silver and probably dates to 1936 / 37 period. The nickel silver hilt fitting are in fine condition. The black ebony grip is in excellent condition and it is inset with SS runic badge and silver eagle, there are a few small flakes to the grip close the the lower crossguard but they are very minor and cannot really been seen until the silver knot is lifted to closely examine the grip. The blade displays the SS motto to the obverse side and is plain on the reverse side without a makers name which is correct for the 36 model chained dagger, the blade has some faint age marks but it is still very bright and impressive. The scabbard retains about 90% original black paint, most of the wear is to the reverse side, the scabbard fittings are matching nickel silver and the central mount is decorated with six linked swastikas and the mount is held in place by a single screw, slight dent to the ball of the lower fitting. The scabbard is fitted with the type two chained hanger, the links are decorated with skulls and SS runes, the reverse side of one of the links is stamped with the SS kulturzeichen stamp, the clip is still in good working order. Complete with black leather belt loop and silver bullion knot which shows some oxidation to the acorn but no damage, silver knots could be worn if the owner was a member of the Waffen SS or SD. The dagger is in good collectable condition and these early nickel silver chained SS leaders daggers are very hard to find. Exc++
THIRD REICH NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY WKC WITH ORANGE GRIP AND KNOT.
Fine detail to crossguard and eagle pommel which still retains some original gilt finish. Mint orange grip. The blade is by WKC and stamped with there knights head trademark, the blade is double etched with the dolphin and fouled anchor design and it is in extremely nice condition. The lightning bolt scabbard still retains much original gilt finish and it is also in extremely nice condition. Complete with silver naval knot, the cord close to the acorn has been expertly repaired in the past possibly by the original owner but it is not noticeable until pointed out. An extremely nice example of a very desirable orange grip naval dagger. Exc++
THIRD REICH 1938 MODEL NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY RARE MAKER CLEMEN & JUNG COMPLETE WITH KNOT.
A very nice example by a rare maker and still in full gilt. Fine detail to crossguard and eagle pommel with well defined swastika. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is etched on the obvers and reverse sides with the dolphin and fouled anchor design, the reverse side features the oval pattern Clemen & Jung Solingen trade mark. Superb lighting bolt scabbard which also still retains almost all gilt finish with no dents or damage. Complete with silver knot. A beautiful example by a rare maker. Near mint.
THIRD REICH EXTRA DELUX FORESTRY LEADERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN COMPLETE WITH FROG AND KNOT.
Eickhorn offered a number of different forestry daggers during the Third Reich but this is the highest quality model of all of them and this example is in exceptional condition. White celluloid grip is in mint condition and it is complete with all six gilt metal acorns. The gilt brass knuckle bow is decorated with oakleaves and the impressive gilt clamshell features a large bird. The blade is in mint condition and it is triple etched, the obvers side features a long decorative panel with stags in forest with hunter, the reverse side features long decorative panel featuring wild boar with hunting dogs and huntsman and the blade is stamped with the 1935 / 41 Eickhon Solingen trade mark. The spine of the blade is etched with oakleaves and also features the distributers mark for Michovius Gottbus, this company specialised in Forestry and Hunting uniforms and equipment. Black leather scabbard which is fitted with two matching gilt brass fittings, the lower fitting is the deluxe type produced by Eickhorn and features a large stag in a forest design. Complete with black leather frog and green and gold forestry knot for senior forestry leaders. A super set, if you want the best this is it. Near mint.
BRITISH 1930\'S ANTYFYRE PISTOL COMPLETE WITH A CASE OF FOUR EXTRA CYLINDERS.
I recently sold one of these fire extinguisher pistols but this one is much earlier dating from the 1930, it is also considerably larger and more impressive than the last one. The pistol still seems to be in working order, it cocks and fires. Complete with a cased set of four spare cylinders. Exc++
HITLER YOUTH LEADERS SPORTS BADGE IN GOLD.
A fine example retaining all original gilt finish, the black enamel background is in perfect condition.The reverse side has pin and hook, large letter B and makers details, RZM M1/101. A beautiful mint example. Condition: Mint
WW1 BRITISH MILLS GRENADE ADVERTISING INK WELL.
WW1 British grenade mounted on iron stand. The grenade opens on a hinge to reveal a white china inkwell. Iron stand with four pen rests and marked on outer edge, S.B.STEEL, MEMENTO OF THE GREAT WAR ACTUAL HAND GRENADE CASTING AS USED BY THE ALLIES, and then with registration design number and date 1915. Mint condition.
WW2 BRITISH FS COMMANDO FIGHTING KNIFE.
This is a very nice 3rd pattern FS knife with bronze ribbed grip. The pommel of the knife is marked 4 which is the makers code number. The blade is in very nice condition and still retains about 50% of the factory bluing. Brown leather scabbard with metal lower mount, the scabbard tabs are still in place and are in very good condition, the cloth grip strap is complete and in excellent condition. A very nice example. LAND CUSTOMS OFFICERS DAGGER COMPLETE WITH HANGERS AND KNOT.
This is a really nice customs dagger that has never been cleaned so it has a nice black age patina. The green leather grip is in perfect condition. The pommel and eagle are the customs style and the eagle has the up-turned wing tips in the customs style. The blade is in excellent condition just showing slight age but it is still very bright. Complete with scabbard with three metal mounts, the green leather is in perfect condition. Complete with silver knot and land customs officers straps, silver and green brocade on green velvet backing, the buckles are the customs style . Exc++
