CASED SILVER GILT WINE EWER AND TWO MATCHING COBLETS PRESENTED TO AN OFFICER SERVING WITH THE 9TH LA
This beautiful set is produced in the easthetic style which was popular during the mid Victorian period.The silver hallmarked wine ewer and goblets are decorated in floral designs typical of the easthetic movement, the ewer is also engraved on the obverse side with military crossed Lances with cipher and Royal crown above and below 9 for the 9th Lancers, below this is a very attractive four line presentation inscription, SURGEON MAJOR ROBERT LEWER, FROM THE OFFICERS OF THE 9TH QUEENS ROYAL LANCERS, KABUL 1880.Silver hall marks for London 1868 & makers initials SS.The two matching silver gilt goblets are also engraved with floral decoration and also the design of the 9th Lancer, both also have matching silver hall marks.The ewer and goblets are contained in there original red leatherette presentation / carrying case, the case opens on two hinged doors, the interior is constructed in red silk and velvet and it is reassessed for the ewer and goblets, the interior has gold embossed retailers name, a silversmith on Oxford street London. The ewer and goblets are in near mint condition and still retaining most of there original gilt finish.The box shows light storage age to the exterior as you would expect, the door originally had two locking clips but one is now missing. A LARGE FACTORY / SHOP SEALED DISPLAY OF METAL POLICE AND CUSTOMS INSIGNIA.
This very large framed and glazed sample board of Police and Customs insignia would have originally been display in the manufactures factory or shop.Many items of metal insignia are displayed and some are rather rare and they include, police general gilt cap eagle, two different police officers and one enlisted cap eagle, two police eagles for cartridge pouch one for an officer and the other for enlisted man, shako helmet plate, Feldjakerkorps kepi insignia in silver featuring eagle with swastika on its breast and another similar one in gold but featuring just a large swastika, cockades, buttons and other insignia. The customs insignia includes two different land customs silver cap eagles and cockade, water customs gold cap eagle and cockade and various cyphers, eagles, buttons and rank pips.Many of the items have the original German factory descriptions. Provenance, back in the 1980's a number of different original Third Reich manufacturers sample board were located such as Police, Railway, Labor Service, the example i am offering is from that original discovery.The postage charge on this item is going to be expensive as it is a heavy item especially when boxed, the web site can only give an estimate of the cost so there might be an extra postage charge to pay on this item depending on destination and service requested. HITLERY YOUTH LEADERS DAGGER BY HORSTER WITH LEATHER STRAPS.
Although this dagger model is very rare and hard to find the straps are exceptionally rare and seldom offered for sale. The silver hilt fittings are in fine condition with a perfect wire wrapped grip, the pommel features the HJ diamond with swastika to the center. Mint blade, the obverse side displays the HJ motto, BLUT UND EHRE (Blood and honor) and the reverse side the makers details, RZM M7 / 36 (Horster). Black leather covered scabbard with three silver scabbard mounts, the top mount obverse side features the HJ eagle with swastika to it's breast. Complete with a superb and very rare set of black leather HJ leaders straps with silver fittings, the reverse side's of the top clip and the lower spring clips feature RZM markings. A very nice un-touch set which would satisfy most if not all collectors, difficult to improve on this one. [Condition: Near Mint]
GERMAN THIRD REICH NSFK FLYERS DAGGER BY F & A HELBIG, MINT CONDITION..
This is the late style of the NSFK flyer's dagger with aluminum fittings and a painted crackle finish to simulate leather rather than the standard leather type, this style is fairly rare especially in good condition but this example is in exceptional condition, probably the best i have owned. The silver aluminum fitting are in mint condition, crossguard display the swastika. The dark blue crackle finish grip is in mint condition. The blade is by F & A HELBIG STEINBACH is in almost mint condition. Matching scabbard with aluminum mounts, the top mount is stamped with the NSFK acceptance stamp, the painted crackle finish is in mint condition. Complete with mint condition hanger. A superb example, probably impossible to improve on this one and i can highly recommend it. [Condition: Mint]
IMPERIAL GERMAN NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER, DELUXE EXAMPLE WITH UNIQUE SCABBARD AND DAMASCUSE BLADE.
This superb deluxe private purchase example is slimmer than most which gives it a very elegant look, it came privately from a good contact and has not been in a collection before. The Imperial crown pommel and crossguard still retain almost all original gilt finish. Fine quality ivory grip is in just about mint condition and is very attractive. The fine quality damasuse blade is by WKC, it is the traditional water pattern style but with more definition than most, the tip of the blade has been carefully sharpened but for some strange reason you often see this with imperial naval daggers, the blade is still in extremely nice condition. The scabbard is especially beautiful and it is in perfect condition and still in almost full gilt, the scabbard has a hammered background design with four highly decorative panels of oak leaves and acorns to each side, the quality is exceptional. These Imperial naval daggers with deluxe scabbards are still very good value when compared to the latter Third Reich naval daggers with deluxe scabbards which sell for considerably more and those normally have only etched blades. NSFK FLYER'S KNIFE BY SMF.
This example features all nickel silver fittings, the black enamel to the crossroad swastikas is in perfect condition, the tip of the crossguard has the normal K stamp.The leather grip is in perfect condition. The blade is by SMF Solingen, there are a few age smudges to the blade but over all this is still a very nice and bright blade. The matching scabbard still retains all original blue leather, the fittings are matching nickel silver, the top fitting is stamped with the NSFK organization insignia and also a small Waffen amp stamp. Complete with hanger. A nice example and reasonably priced. [Condition: Exc++]
THIRD REICH GERMAN POLICE OFFICERS PEAKED CAP.
Police green top, green police piping, brown center band, complete with silver cap cords, cockade and officers quality two piece construction silver police eagle and swastika. Interior features gold silk lining, celluloid diamond with makers details, the cap is also size stamped 59.Nice peaked cap, officers examples are difficult to find. [Condition: Exc++]
GERMAN MI6 HELMET DOUBLE DECAL POLICE.
This is a very nice Imperial German M16 combat helmet that was re-issued during the Third Reich to the police. Field gray helmet still retaining much original paint finish.The police eagle is at least 98% complete, the swastika state colours show some light abrasions but it is still at least 95% complete.The helmet is complete with model 1931 liner and black leather chin strap. NSDAP GAU LEVEL WHITE TOP POLITICAL LEADERS PEAKED CAP.
This is an exceptionally rare summer issue white top peaked cap with red piping for Gau Level leadership and was worn only by the Gauleiter and his staff. Fine quality white top with correct white crown piping, brown velvet center band with red Gau piping to upper and lower edges. Complete with gilt cap cords, metal eagle and cockade.The interior features a high quality cream silk lining with plain celluloid patch and brown sweat band, under the sweat band is an RZM TUCHMUTZE label.The underside of the sweat band originally featured the owners details but these have been inked out to conceal his identification, this is often seen with items that come directly from an owners family in Germany. A superb looking and extremely rare peaked cap in exceptional condition. [Condition: Near Mint]
SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY VOOS.
This is an RZM example in exceptionally nice condition. The silver hilt fittings still retain all original silver platting.The black wooden grip is in perfect condition complete with SS runic badge and silver eagle.The blade is in near mint condition, the obverse side features the SS motto and the reverse side the makers details, RZM M7/2 RZM 1166/38 SS, which is the makers code for Voos Solingen & which is very desirable and collectible high quality maker but especially rare for SS daggers, i do not recall having an SS dagger by this maker before but they are a recorded maker of SS daggers.The matching scabbard is also in fine condition still retaining almost all original black painted finish, the silver fittings still retain all of the silver platting. An exceptionally nice example, if you are looking for an RZM period SS dagger you should be happy with this one as it has rarity of maker, quality and condition. Comes from an old collection based in England. [Condition: Near Mint]
