CASED THIRD REICH BURGERMEISTERS MEDAL FOR THE DISTRICT OF HOCHEN.

A very rare cased medal awarded to the Mayor of Hochen, this is the 1st example of a Burgermeisters medal I have owned in 35 years as a dealer. The dagger still retains much factory blueing. Excellent detail to the swastika pommel and the eagle crossguard. BRITISH WW1 LUSITANIA PLAQUE WITH ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX.

This bronze medallion commemorates the German sinking of the British passenger ship the Lusitania by a German U-boat during WW1.
