SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL GROUND ROHM BY HAMMESFAHR COMPLETE WITH VERTICAL HANGER AND BELT LOOP.

This SS dagger was purchased privately from a British veterans family and it has never been in a collection. All early nickel silver fittings, the reverse side of the lower crossguard is stamped III for Berlin. The grip is in near mint condition and it if fitted with SS Runes and silver eagle, there is a very small chip to the reverse side just below the upper crossguard but the original wooden chip was retained and was fitted back in place a long time ago and probably by the original owner. The blade shows some age wear but it still retain much original crossgrain, the obverse side features the SS motto, the revere side has been heavily ground to remove the offending Rohm dedication but there are still small parts of the letters visible, the Gottlieb Hammesfahr trade mark is still 100% complete. Black anodised scabbard shows some wear and age but mostly to the reverse side, it is fitted with matching nickel silver fittings, the ball to the lower fitting is slightly dented like they normally are. Complete with black leather vertical hanger, it is SS / RZM marked inside but the stamping is now worn and difficult to see, fitted to the hanger top metal spring clip is the the original black leather belt loop. Not a mint dagger but still nice and totally un-touched. Exc+
