MASONIC GOTHIC STYLE SKULL DAGGER.

A very difficult dagger to find, this is only the third example I have owned in over 35 years. Black wire bound leather grip. The pommel is designed as a human skull which looks very sinister, the crossguard is designed as a pair of crossed bones. Brass skull complete with helmet plate for the 2nd Dragoons. Matching spike complete with black horse hair plume. pair of helmet rosettes and complete with brass chin chain but the leather backing is now missing. These decorative gilt brass tins were presented by Princess Mary at Christmas 1914 to the British troops. This is a rare survivor containing the original contents. Packet of cigarettes complete with original label, seven cigarettes still remain, Packet of tobacco with contents and label. This is a very slim WW1 period naval officers dress sword. Almost all gilt remaining to the lions head hilt. White fish skin grip is in perfect condition.
