ARMY / WAFFEN SS CLOSE COMBAT BAR IN SILVER.
This is a good silver example that still retains much original silver finish, the silver award is much harder to find than the bronze grade. Excellent detail to silver oakleaves and the crossed bayonet and grenade, the eagle is also very nice but there is a some wear to the swastika but it is not really noticeable until closely examined, this is not a mint un-issued example but one that has actually been worn and seen some combat which is a very nice feature. The reverse side features pin and hook and the small back plate is still in place, the badge is marked, FEC W.E.PEEKHOUS BERLAN AUSF A.G.M.u.K GABLONZ . [Condition: Exc++]
WW2 JAPANESE ARMY OFFICERS SAMURAI SWORD.
A very nice WW2 Japanese army officers katana sword. Cloth bound grip is in excellent condition with much gilt remaining to the pommel and the suba. The blade is very interesting as it has fuller similar to an NCO's sword but it is better quality and it is also slimmer than normal, it is a very impressive blade and very sharp and it is also in excellent condition with just some old and faint age marks. The matching officers scabbard retains almost all original paint finish. This is a really nice officers sword that i can highly recommend. WW2 JAPANESE ARMY NCO'S KATANA SWORD, DELUXE MODEL WITH LEATHER COVERED SCABBARD.
This is a really nice looking example of a Japanese army katana sword and it is much nicer than most. Aluminum hilt still retain traces of the original brown paint, the hilt is designed to simulate cloth binding as found on the officers swords. The hilt also has several issue stamps just above the brass decorative suba. The blade is still very bright and it has a few age marks as they normally do, the blade is stamped with issue number 101057. The scabbard is really attractive and interesting, normally an NCO's sword will have a painted scabbard but the original owner of this sword has opted to have the metal scabbard covered in high quality brown leather which really makes the sword stand out, the top scabbard mount is also issue stamped 101057 and this number matches the blade issue number which is very nice to see as these number often do not match. Attached to the hilt ring is a large and very unusual sword portepee, it is not the standard type but it has always been on this sword and it would be impossible to remove it with out cutting it as it is so tightly and permanently attached. A really nice WW2 Japanese army sword which i can highly recommend. [Condition: Exc++]
COPY OF A 16TH CENTURY HOLBEIN DAGGER.
The Holbein dagger is very interesting as the SA / SS dagger were modeled on them, the example i have to offer for sale is a 20th century copy of one of these rare 16th century daggers but it is impossible to accurately date it. The silver hilt is cast in one piece and shows some age and wear, the obverse side of the grip is decorated with the devil and other demonic designs, the reverse side features three maidens which are perhaps being prepared for sacrifice. The blade is also very similar to an SA blade and it is decorated on both sides with floral designs, it does have some old age spotting and rust marks. The scabbard is very impressive as it is decorated on both sides with the medieval dance of death design. A very unusual and high quality dagger which would look great displayed with a collection of SA daggers. It is impossible to date this dagger and so it is sold as seen. [Condition: Exc++]
