EXTREMLY RARE DELUXE SENIOR HUNTING OFFICALS DAGGER BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH HANGER AND KNOT.

EXTREMLY RARE DELUXE SENIOR HUNTING OFFICALS DAGGER BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH HANGER AND KNOT.

If you collect German daggers this is one of the hardest models to find, there were only two makers who produced the deluxe senior model hunting dagger, Eickhorn and Alcoso and although the Eickhorn model is very rare the Alcoso version is exceptionally rare and it is normally missing from even the most advanced collections, in 35 years as a dealer this is only the 2nd Alcoso example I have ever offered for sale. All metal fitting are heavily silver plated and now have a very attractive age patina. The pommel is decorated with oakleaves and acorns. Beautiful quality staghorn grip complete with silver metal hunting association insignia which is a stags head with letters DJ and a swastika. The crossguard and ferule are also decorated with oakleaves. The impressive clamshell features four stags / deer's in a forest design. The blade is in mint condition and it is triple etched, the obverse and reverse sides feature decorative panels with stags in a forest and a wild boar being attacked by hunting dogs, the obverse side features the 1938 / 1940 Alcoso Solingen trade mark, even the spine of the blade is decorated with oakleaves. The green leather scabbard is in fine condition and it is fitted with matching silver mounts, the lower mount is decorated on the obverse side with a large stag in a forest design. Complete with green leather frog hanger and green and silver hunting knot, the acorn is very impressive as it is larger then some. The dagger measures approximately 17 inches or 47cm long, the senor model is always considerably shorter than the standard model. This dagger is as you would expect expensive but I believe there is only one other for sale in the world and that one is considerably more expensive than mine. [Condition: Near Mint]

SA DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY HAMMESFAHR WITH RARE UNIQUE BROWN LEATHER FROG HANGER.

Over the years I have owned many different types of vertical SA frog hangers and i have always found them extremely interesting, the one i am offering now is very unusual and I have not see this pattern before, it is also original to this dagger and came as a set. All early nickel silver fittings, the lower crossguard reverse side is stamped with the SA group mark S.The grip is in perfect condition, the insignia has aged and oxidized as they have never been cleaned and they look really attractive but they could easily be cleaned if required. The blade is in mint condition, the obverse side features the SA motto and the reverse side the makers details, Hammesfahr Cie Solingen with there swimming man trade mark. The brown anodized scabbard has matching nickel silver mounts and they are in beautiful condition, scabbard shell still retain much original factory finish. LAND CUSTOMS DAGGER BY HORSTER.

This is an especially nice example as it still retains much of its original silver frosted finish and it has a mint blade. The green leather grip is in mint condition. Aluminium customs style crossguard and pommel are in fine condition. Near mint blade by Horster Solingen. The scabbard still retains all green leather and it is fitted with steel scabbard fittings with a silver frosted finish, most customs daggers had this finish to the scabbard fittings but normally it is worn away. This is an extremely nice example which I can highly recommend. [Condition: Near Mint]
