ITALIAN FASCIST AIR FORCE OFFICERS SWORD WITH KNOT AND HANGERS.

ITALIAN FASCIST AIR FORCE OFFICERS SWORD WITH KNOT AND HANGERS.

The Italian air force or Rigia Aeronautica was founded by the Italian Fascist state in 1923 and saw action in many campaigns from Ethiopia and the Spanish civil war in the 1930's to Russia in 1943 and many other places in between, two of Mussolini's own sons served in the Italian air force . Impressive gilt eagle head hilt with red glass eyes, the basket hilt is formed as feathered wings and it is in perfect condition. Black celluloid grip with wire wrap. The blade is in mint condition and it is double etched with foliage designs, the quality of the etching is fairly poor compared to German or British swords but this is fairly typical for Italian produced blades. Black scabbard with very decorative and ornate gilt metal mounts, the upper mount features the Italian Fascist airforce eagle. Complete with gold knot and blue and gold brocade sword hangers with gilt metal fittings. A difficult sword to find and they are much rarer than the Luftwaffe sword.[Condition: Near Mint]

SS ALLACH PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A DEER.

SS ALLACH PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A DEER.

A beautifully large porcelain figure and this one is extra special as it is a coloured example rather than the much more common white glazed type and it is also in mint condition which is amazing considering how fragile these large figures are. The modeling and detail to this deer is exceptional, the colouring has captured the beauty of the animal perfectly. The base is marked, PROF TH KARNER (who was the designer) 41 and the Allach factory mark being the SS runes, the factory mark is difficult to photograph but it is there as can bee seen in the photographs. Height 16cm. A rare and impressive figure that I recently found in an Antique shop in England and which was probably brought back to England by a British soldier in 1945 as a gift for his wife or mother. [Condition: Mint]

LUFTWAFFE OBSERVERS WAR BADGE BY JUNCKER.

LUFTWAFFE OBSERVERS WAR BADGE BY JUNCKER.

This superb early quality badge is by Juncker who is the most desirable maker of Luftwaffe badges. The silver wreath still retains much original silver finish, the highly detailed eagle is clutching a swastika in its claws. The reverse side features pin and hook and makers details, C.E.Juncker Berlin SW. Apparently this badge was removed from a Luftwaffe pilots tunic who crashed in England during the war but unfortunately there is no written evidence to prove this. The Luftwaffe Observers badge is much harder to find than the pilots badge and this is an especially desirable example. [Condition: Exc++]

ADOLF HITLER SILVER DINNER KNIFE.

ADOLF HITLER SILVER DINNER KNIFE.

This is one of the extremely desirable silver dinner knifes manufactured by Bruckmann, these were produced in 1938 for use at Adolf Hitlers Reich chancellery in Berlin and the Berghoff in Bavaria, many types of serving objects were produced but the knife is always one of the most desirable by collectors as they make a very good letter opener on a collectors desk. This is the more desirable and ornate formal pattern, the handle features a Greek key border with large closed wing eagle and swastika and below this the letters AH. The reverse side is plain just featuring the Greek key border and silver marks, crown, moon, eagle and 800 silver mark. Size 10 inches or about 25cm long. [Condition: Mint]
