GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS DAGGER BY EICKHORN COMPLETE WITH RARE STRAPS AND KNOT.

GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS DAGGER BY EICKHORN COMPLETE WITH RARE STRAPS AND KNOT.

This is a rare example by Eickhorn which are much harder to find than those by Alcoso, i probably see one Eickhorn to every 5 or 6 Alcosos. Fine detail to the eagle head hilt which still retains all silver finish, fine detail to the eagle crossguard with good clear swastika. Mint blade by Eickhorn Solingen and featuring there 1935 / 41 trade mark. The silver scabbard is the Eickhorn pattern and it is in perfect condition. Complete with correct Government officials hangers, silver brocade on blue backing with silver metal fittings, the portepee is the special type used on this model dagger, it is similar to an army portepee but the acorn is much small and the cord is slimmer. A really nice set by the premier maker Eickhorn, highly recommended.

IMPERIAL GERMAN 1871 MODEL NCO BAYONET / SIDEARM BY WKC COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL FROG AND KNOT.

IMPERIAL GERMAN 1871 MODEL NCO BAYONET / SIDEARM BY WKC COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL FROG AND KNOT.

This is a very long bayonet which is almost a short sword measuring 25 inches or about 64cm long. Brass ribbed hilt, the bayonet steel fitting is for decoration only as it is not meant to function and has no real use on this model bayonet. The long impressive steel blade by WKC is triple etched with long foliage panels featuring military designs such as crossed flags, drums, cannons and swords, the etch decoration is very detailed and certainly impressive. Black leather scabbard with matching brass fittings.Complete with original to this bayonet black leather frog and blue and white Imperial bayonet knot. A rare complete set that would have been worn by an army NCO. [Condition: Exc++]

CASED BAR TO THE IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS.

CASED BAR TO THE IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS.

Although the award is fairly easy to find the case is much harder to locate and this set is in beautiful condition and is probably one of the nicest i have owned in a very long time. This WW2 1st class bar still retains most of its original silver frosted finish, the reverse side features pin and hook. The black leatherette box is in fine condition and the lid features the design of the bar, the silver finish is almost 100% remaining which is remarkable as these cases are often fairly worn. A superb set which I can highly recommend. [Condition: Near Mint]

NPEA DAGGER BY BURGSMULLER WITH POTSDAM SCHOOL STAMPING.

NPEA DAGGER BY BURGSMULLER WITH POTSDAM SCHOOL STAMPING.

This impressive example was originally part of the advanced John Pepera collection and was sold several years ago when his collection was dispersed by auction. This is a good early example made even more desirable because it is school stamped, which not all are. All early nickel silver hilt fittings, the lower guard is school stamped P 417 which is the abbreviation for the NPEA School at Potsdam and which was the 2nd NPEA School established in 1933.The brown wooden grip is is in excellent condition with just a few small insignificant age and wearing marks. The blade is in excellent condition with some original polish and crossgrain finish still remaining, the obverse side features the NPEA motto, MEHR SEIN ALS SCHEINEN (Be more than you appear to be), the reverse side features the suppliers / makers details, Karl Burgsmuller, Berlin, Charlottenburg 5, the felt buffer pad is still in place. The matching bayonet scabbard retains about 90% original olive green paint to the obverse side and about 75% to the reverse side, the under side of the scabbard stud has the stamped in parts number which all original Burgsmuller's should have. A very nice example of a very difficult dagger to find especially when school marked and with excellent provenance. [Condition: Exc++]..

SS CHAINED OFFICERS DAGGER 1936 MODEL WITH SILVER KNOT AND BELT LOOP.

SS CHAINED OFFICERS DAGGER 1936 MODEL WITH SILVER KNOT AND BELT LOOP.

This is a beautiful example which would be very difficult to improve on. All silver platted hilt fitting are in fine condition, the platted pommel nut is engraved with the original owners initials. The black ebony grip is inset with SS insignia and and silver eagle, the grip is in fine condition, there are a couple of small and very minor faint hairlines near the crossguard as is often seen with these ebony grips but there are no chips or damage to the insignia. The blade features the SS motto to the obverse side, the reverse side is plain with out a makers name which is correct for the 1936 model leaders dagger and it is in near mint condition. The scabbard and chain hanger are also in exceptional condition, the scabbard still retains all of the factory bluing, the matching silver scabbard mount still retain all of the silver finish. The chain hanger is the 2nd type, the detail to the skull and rune links is exceptional, the reverse side of one of the links has the normal SS acceptance stamp, the spring clip is perfect and it is in working order. The dagger grip is fitted with a silver portepee it is interesting to note that it is stitched into place with black cotton on the reverse side and it can not be removed from the grip with out cutting and probably damaging the knot (silver knots could be worn by SS officers serving with the Waffen SS and the SD). Attached to the chain hanger is a black belt loop. A superb example much nicer than most. [Condition: Exc++]

THE POISONOUS MUSHROOM, PROBABLY THE MOST NOTORIOUS AND ANTI SEMITIC BOOK OF ALL TIME.

THE POISONOUS MUSHROOM, PROBABLY THE MOST NOTORIOUS AND ANTI SEMITIC BOOK OF ALL TIME.

This notorious and extremely rare anti semitic Nazi book was published by Julius Streichers Der Sturmer publishing house in Nuremberg in 1938. The book has a hard cover and contains 64 pages, it was produced as a children's story book with many highly detailed coloured illustrations but the story's contained in this book are not Harry Potter or Disney type story's, these story's describe and depict in highly detailed coloured drawings the danger of the Jewish race, the initial story suggests that just like Mushrooms which are dangerous and poisonous so are the Jews, other story's include, How Jewish Traders Cheat, Ingas Visit to a Jewish Doctor, How the Jew Treat there Domestic help, How Two Women were Tricked by Jewish Lawyers, How Jews Torment Animals, Money is the god of the Jews, to name but a few but there are 17 anti Jewish story's in all and all with highly detailed coloured illustrations. The book was originally produced on a limited print run and i believe there was only one printing, very few have survived WW2 most being destroyed by there owners in 1945 for obvious reasons. Complete with modern partial English translation of some of the story's and two photographs, one showing children reading the book in the late 1930's and the second photograph depicts a Sturmer advertisement for the book.[Condition: Near Mint]
