GERMAN NAVAL SWORD.

GERMAN NAVAL SWORD.

This is a very good example with naval Depot issue stamps. Fine detail to lions head hilt which still retains much original gilt finish, the obverse side of the folding hilt displays a large naval anchor, the reverse folding and locking hilt fittings is issue stamped N261, this matches the scabbard issue stamp. The white celluloid grip is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks and with all gilt wire remaining. Plain blade shows some age spotting but over all it is still a very nice blade. Black leather scabbard is in fine condition with matching brass gilt metal mounts, the reverse side of the top scabbard mount is stamped with the matching issue stamp N261, the bottom scabbard mount reverse side is stamped with a naval M marine issue stamp. German naval swords are far harder to find than the naval dagger, I probably see 20 daggers for every sword. [Condition: Exc++]

VERY RARE REICHSKULTURSENAT BADGE.

VERY RARE REICHSKULTURSENAT BADGE.

The honor badge for members of the National senate of culture, it is believed that there were only approximately 250 of this rare badge ever awarded from 1936 / 1945 making it one of the rarest of Third Reich awards. The senate dealt with matters such as art, music, film, theater, radio and press. Dr Goebbls was the leader of the senate and most of of it's members were senior leaders of the party and state such as, Victor Lutze, Hans Johst and Walther Funk. This large badge is basically oval in shape with a gold border forming into 16 points with white enamel center and with gilt lettering, REICHSKULTURSENAT, with large gold eagle and swastika mounted on a column to the center. The reverse of the badge features a high quality pin and hook, the backing plate features two small rivets and bears the issue number 172 and also the makers name, Deschler Munchen and the silver content mark Silber 900. There are two minor variations of this badge featuring slightly different style rivets on the reverse side, one is found on early badges and the other style on latter awards, the one I have is the latter style which is correct for the badge I have which has a fairly high issue number. An extremely rare badge i have only owned one other in the last 30 years, the rarity can not be overstated. The badge is in very nice condition, it does shows light wear as it has been worn and it has also a small shallow flake from the white enamel close to the letter I of the word Reich it has not been restored and it still displays very nicely and considering it's extreme rarity is very acceptable as the chance of finding another example is unlikely and i have priced it very realistically at approximately 50% of the price of a mint example.

VERY RARE 1923 GAU BADGE ORIGINALLY BELONGING TO AN SS OBERFUHRER.

VERY RARE 1923 GAU BADGE ORIGINALLY BELONGING TO AN SS OBERFUHRER.

Large black swastika with date 1923 on a circular wreath of oakleaves. Reverse side features two small rivets, pin and hook, silver 800 mark and makers name, R.Wachtler & Lang Mittweida. This award will be found with either a 1923 date or a 1925 date but the 1923 is more desirable as it shows extremely early membership of the NSDAP and many would have also been holders of the Blood order medal. This example originally belonged to SS Oberfuhrer Bachl who from 1942 served with the notorious Kampfgruppe Jeckeln in Russia which was heavily involved in Jewish war crimes. Complete with some post war research concerning this officer. [Condition: Exc++]

LUFTWAFFE 1ST MODEL DAGGER BELONGING TO A LUFTWAFFE GENERAL.

LUFTWAFFE 1ST MODEL DAGGER BELONGING TO A LUFTWAFFE GENERAL.

This is a very early production example with all nickel silver fittings. Blue leather grip in in excellent condition, matching nickel silver crossguard and pommel inset with brass swastikas. Blade by SMF Solingen and it is also stamped with a waffen amp stamp, the blade shows some faint spotting and age. Matching scabbard with nickel mounts, the leather shows wear to the edge seam but the leather covering is in over all excellent condition, the reverse side of the top silver mount is personalized with a presentation inscription and it is engraved in a complicated but attractive Gothic style which is not easy to decipher but appears to be, Generalmajor F.Kontor III.FT.154 Schonwalder E 1935. Complete with chain hanger having six upper and 10 lower silver links, the spring catch is in perfect working order. A very interesting dagger that has not been reserched but it would certainly make an excellent research project. [Condition: Exc+]
