CASED HITLER YOUTH AWARD IN GOLD.
A very rare award, this is the first example I have owned of this Hitler youth award. Gold square plaque featuring the German eagle with large Hitler youth swastika diamond and with inscription, LEISTVNGSSCHAV DER THUR HITLER JUGGEND 1939, DEM SIEGER. The reverse side of the award is stamped with the makes details.This award was presented at the yearly HJ competition which was held in the various Gau's and this one being the gold grade was presented to the victor of the competition in the Thuringen Gau. Size about 3 inches. Complete with rare blue leatherette presentation box, the interior of the lid of the box is constructed in white silk and the base of the box is blue velvet and which is inset for the award. A most unusual and rare HJ award which would look great displayed with other HJ awards or perhaps with some HJ daggers. [Condition: Near Mint]
KNIGHTS CROSS ISSUE OF THE ART MAGAZINE, DIE KUNST IM DEUTSCHEN REICH.
This is the October 1942 issue of the Third Reich monthly art magazine, this particular issue is the most sort after of all as it features an extensive article on the impressive Knights cross award documents with many full colour photograph's of the documents, it also includes the oakleaves, swords, diamonds and even Hermann Goring's grand cross document. [Condition: Exc++].
CASED LUFTWAFE PILOTS BADGE BY BSW.
This is a beautiful example of a pilots badge and certainly one of the nicest i have owned for a very long time.The wreath still retains almost all original silver frosted finish, fine detail to the factory blued flying eagle which is clutching a large swastika in its talons.The reverse side features pin and hook and makers details, a clover leaf with the initials BSW. Complete with original matching BSW blue leatherette issue box with award details to lid. A really fine example.[Condition: Near Mint]
ALLGEMEINE SS NCO'S PEAK CAP.
These black SS hats are always popular as most SS or uniform collectors desire to own at least one example.This is a very nice looking early example with a good high front dating to about 1934. Fine quality black wool ribbed top with black wool ribbed center band with white piping to crown and the center band of the hat. The skull mounted to the center band is the scarce early 1st pattern type which retains much original silver finish, the eagle is the 2nd pattern and the silver frosting perfectly matches the skull so they are obviously a matched set, a perfect example of a transitional form Allgemeine SS NCO's peaked cap.The interior features the standard rust brown oil cloth lining with celluloid patch with the large gold SS runes and size stamp 55, the brown leather sweat band is complete but shows some light wear just as you would expect, under the sweat band is an early style RZM tag.The underside of the visor has traces of the black SS RZM stamping but much of this is now worn away by age and wear. A very nice example that has actually been worn and which shows honest wear but it is still in nice condition and for once it does not have any moth damage. [Condition: Exc++]
IMPERIAL GERMAN GUARD REGIMENT OTHER RANKS PICKELHAUBE HELMET.
The black leather skull is in perfect condition and it is complete with all gilt brass fittings. Large Guard regiment helmet plate, spike, leather chin strap with brass buckles. The helmet cockade to the left side is the standard red, white and black state colours but the one to the right side is very unusual but it is totally original to this helmet, it is constructed in black silk, why it is like this rather than the standard type i have no idea but perhaps an explanation could be is that the original owner was in morning for the lost war ? The interior of the helmet features a standard black leather liner, the back peak is unit stamped, R.A.G 1903 REGGR3 1903. An exceptionally nice example of a guard regiment pickelhaube helmet. EARLY HITLER YOUTH PEAKED CAP.
This very rare early style HJ cap was introduced into service in about 1933 and continued to be worn until about 1936 when a new model was introduced into service. Brown cloth body with early style brown cloth visor, the crown piping appears to be white but it is actually pale blue that has faded with age, this colour piping was worn by HJ Oberbann 4 and also by the Flieger HJ (Flying HJ). Complete with early style silver metal eagle, enamel HJ membership badge and leather chin strap. The interior features the typical early style brown oilcloth lining and sweat band. The cap shows wear as you would expect from such an early example but no moth or damage, this is a really nice hat with a lot of character and style. [Condition: Exc++]
SA MANS KEPI.
A very nice example with brown body and green center band for SA Group Sachen, complete with silver metal eagle, silver button and leather chin strap. Brown cloth interior with printed initials PH which is possibly the hat makers initials and also size mark 57, there is also a second set of initials which are hand applied, ER and these are probably the original owners, the oilcloth sweat band is perfect condition just showing light wear from being worn, under the sweat band is the RZM cloth tag. These SA Kepis have become very difficult to find as most are now in collection's and this is the thirst one I have had to offer for sale for several years. A very iconic hat of the National Socialist period of German history. [Condition: Near Mint]
POLITICAL LEADERS COMPLETE UNIFORM OF GAU LEVEL COMPRISING,TUNIC, BREECHES, PEAK CAP & LEATHER BELT.
This superb rare set was purchased as a complete collection belonging to a Gau level political leader. For pocket brown political leaders tunic still retaining all gilt eagle and swastika buttons, the collar is piped in red for Gau Level, complete with matching rare embroidered red velvet collar patches with red edge piping and featuring a gold bullion eagle with single oakleaf to each for the rank of Abschnitsleiter (section leader). Superb political leaders arm band, red wool arm band with white circle with black swastika with gold border,with double borders of gold oak leaves and with red piping to both edges for, Leiter Einer Haupstelle. The tunic is fitted with its original awards comprising, WW1 Iron cross 2nd class with rare screw back fitting (the tunic is specially fitted by a tailor to except a screw back award), War service cross 1st class without swords, Nurnberg 1933 Gau badge and the NSDAP party badge, the button hole of the tunic is fitted with the ribbon for the war service cross 2nd class.The interior of the tunic has the standard gold silk lining. A fine quality set of matching political leaders breeches with gilt eagle and swastika political buttons and with large RZM label to the inside. Brown leather political leaders belt complete with large gilt eagle and swastika buckle, the buckle is marked on the reverse side, RZM M4/27. Political leaders Gau level peaked cap, a fine looking cap with a good high front, political brown top with dark brown velvet center band with red piping for Gau Level, complete with gilt metal eagle, cockade and gilt cap cords.The Interior of the hat features a gold silk lining with celluloid patch with some sweat staining, the under side of the sweat band features the RZM tag. A very nice set all belonging to one man who was a ranking political leader and rare being Gau level. No moth or damage just very light wear, this is truly a beautiful set. [Condition: Near Mint]
POLITICAL LEADERS YELLOW PIPED PEAK CAP OF REICH LEVEL.
A fine looking peaked cap and very rare being yellow piped for the Reich Level of leadership. Brown political wool top, dark brown velvet sweat band with yellow piping for Reich level. Complete with gilt metal eagle, cockade and gold cap cords.The interior features a gold silk lining with celluloid patch with makers details, a large lion and shield and below this DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIE. Brown leather sweat band in fine condition with RZM label to the underside. A fine looking example with no moth or damage. [Condition: Near Mint]
LUFTWAFFE DOUBLE DECAL M35 CAMOFLAGE HELMET.
A very good Luftwaffe double decal helmet which was originally issued with a standard Luftwaffe paint finish but was then converted to a camouflage helmet by adding various shades of brown paint to the original paint finish.The eagle decal is the scarce early style which shows light wear but it is still in remarkably good condition, the other side features the state colours of black white and red and again they are in fine condition (the decals would have been masked when the camouflage paint was added). Attached to the helmet shell is a wire band for attachment of foliage. The interior still retains the original leather liner with faint ink stamp and the chin strap is the scarce early style. The interior of the shell has two large ink stamps, the upper one is stamped in black ink, 8.KOMP, the second stamping is harder to decipher.The shell of the helmet is stamped 5132 & Q66.The helmet is a good large size, about a 58. A very interesting helmet, Luftwaffe camouflaged double decal helmets are very rare. [Condition: Exc++]
