GERMAN WW2 LUFTSCHUTZE HELMET.
German civil defence helmet in the beaded M35 style rather than the more common gladiator type. Dark blue painted shell with large Luftschutze winged swastika decal to the front of the helmet. Leather chin strap, the spring clip has an old repair but it still works. Leather liner and head protection pad which has makers details but they are now worn and only traces can be seen. The white celluloid grip is in perfect condition. The pommel is the flame ball type and shows excellent detail. The crossguard features the anchor to the obvers and reverse sides, it is the early type that does not feature a push button and so the blade is held in place by pressure.
