A very nice wall mounted oak plaque or plate which is beautifully carved with the depiction of Adolf Hitlers Eagles Nest. The building is perched on top of the mountain with garden, trees and floral designs and with the carved inscription, KEHLSTEINHOUSE EAGLES NEST, with very ornate border. SS CHAINED LEADERS DAGGER 1936 MODEL, COMPLETE WITH TYPE 1 CHAINS.
This example probably dates to about 1938 or even early WW2, all metal fittings are the silver plated type and it is fitted with type 1 chains. The hilt fitting retain almost all silver plating.
