GERMAN WW1 TRENCH ART DAGGER LETTER OPENER.

The handle is made from a brass riffle cartridge and the blade and iron cross designed crossguard from scrap brass. The blade is engraved Souvenir with floral decoration and a Prussian crown, the iron cross crossguard is engraved W and date 1918. Mint brown wooden grip plates. The steel hilt fittings are in fine condition. Mint blade is stamped with a Luftwaffe waffen amp stamp. The black painted scabbard is in beautiful condition and the reverse side is fitted with the metal scabbard spring for attachment to uniform / equipment. As used by Luftwaffe ground forces. POLITICAL LEADER BROWN LEATHER BELT COMPLETE WITH GILT METAL BUCKLE.

Fine quality wide brown leather belt complete with both leather belt runners and circular gilt metal buckle. Large gilt metal buckle features the party eagle and swastika, the reverse side is marked, RZM M4/24. LUFTWAFE 1937 MOODEL OFFICERS DAGGER BY SMF COMPLETE WITH KNOT AND HANGERS.

The aluminium pommel still retains almost all original gilt finish to the swastikas, normally this is worn away, the aluminium Luftwaffe eagle crossguard is in fine condition.
