WAFFEN SS OFFICERS SOLDBUCH AND ID CARD SET.

WAFFEN SS OFFICERS SOLDBUCH AND ID CARD SET.

A very rare SS Soldbuch belonging to an SS officer with fine uniform photograph. The book belonged to SS Untersturmfuhrer Otto Berlemann who was born on the 16.3.1914 and has lots of entry's from 1939 until the end of the war in 1945, he served with the SS Totenkopf Regiment and then the 4th SS Police division, he was promoted to officer rank on the 9th of November 1943, by June 1944 he held the position of Santeshnishcher Fuhrer which is some type of medical leader but not a Doctor. He received 4 military awards and so he obviously had a fair bit of combat experience on the front line, The Czech 1938 annexation medal, Iron cross 2nd class awarded in 1941 in Russia, the Russian front medal also in 1941 and the Demjansk shield in 1943. The cover of the Soldbuch has the SS runes, some of the internal pages are loose and some of the pages have been reinforced on the binding probably by the owner. The 2nd document is a red cross Personal Ausweis Identification document belonging to SS Untersturmfuhrer Otto Berlemann and it is interesting that it was issued on the 6th of June 1944 which was the date of the allied invasion of France. SS OFFICERS CHAINED DAGGER 1936 MODEL.

SS OFFICERS CHAINED DAGGER 1936 MODEL.

A good example purchased privately which has not been in a collection before and at a bargain price. This a very interesting example dating to about 1937 and is from the period when they were changing over production of SS36 model dagger fittings from nickel silver to silver plated metal. The black ebony grip is in excellent condition with no crack or chips just light age, the grip is inset with SS runic insignia and silver eagle, the nickel silver cross guards fit the grip perfectly and as you would expect there is no SS group mark. The blade is in extremely nice condition, it features the SS motto to the obverse side and it is plain on the reverse side with out a makers name which is correct for the the 36 model dagger, there is still a good percentage of cross grain and original polish to this blade. The scabbard is the anodized type and it is fitted with plated fittings, the upper fitting shows some minor lifting to the fitting, the lower fitting has a slight dent to the ball, the fittings are still very nice but could probably be improved if required. The chain hanger is the 2nd pattern and it is in extremely nice condition, the reverse side of one of the links has the SS runic acceptance stamp. Not a mint dagger but still in extremely collectible condition and priced very realistically at a bargain price compared to what they normally sell for. [Condition: Exc+]
