A very nice Victorian officers malaka wooden stick mounted with ornate silver top featuring the Regimental badge of the Essex Regiment and with title, 1st BATTN ESSEX REGIMENT, there are couple of old age dents but over it is very nice, it appears to be silver but it is not silver hall marked. Excellent detail to the brass eagle pommel and crossguard which still retain traces of the original gilt finish. This is a good RZM example. The crossguards show slight wear to the plated fittings but they still retain about 90% plating which is much better than most.
