THIRD REICH GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS DAGGER BY ALCOSO.

This is a very nice example of a Government officials dagger of early production and it has a very nice age patina to the exterior silver fittings as it has not been cleaned. Fine quality silver eagles head hilt with excellent detail to the crossguard eagle and swastika, the swastika is really nice and clear and better than most by this maker. Mother of pearl style grip plates are in mint condition. The blade is by Alcoso Solingen and features there 1938/40 style trade mark so the earliest type you can find on a GO dagger by this maker, Alcoso actually used three different styles of trade mark over there short period of production of this model dagger. The blade has some faint age marks but it is still very nice and much better than most. The matching scabbard has also never been cleaned and it still retains most of its silver plating with no dents or other damage. A very nice dagger at a very realistic price. Exc++
