THIRD REICH HOLLER 21 MODEL ARMY OFFICERS SWORD.

This is one of the hardest to find army model swords and it was only manufactured by Holler Solingen and they advertised it as there model 21. This early quality example is produced in gilt brass, latter examples were produced in gilt base metal. The large cats head is very impressive and the eyes are inset with red glass stones. The black celluloid grip is in mint condition and it is the Holler 21 type which is different to a standard army grip. The army closed wing eagle and swastika is massive and very impressive. The back strap and knuckle bow are very ornate and highly decorated. The tip of the crossguard features a second small but highly detailed cats head. The blade is in mint condition, there is no makers name but as this model is unique to Holler they did not really need to name the blade as this model was almost there trade mark. The scabbard retains at least 95% black paint. This is a really impressive and rare sword in fine condition. Exc++
