HITLER YOUTH KNIFE WITH MOTTO TO BLADE BY SCHMIDT.

This is a very nice early issue HJ knife with motto to the blade. Black celluloid grip plates are in fine condition and complete with HJ enamel badge which is in mint condition. The nickel silver hilt is also in perfect condition. The blade features the HJ motto to the obverse side, the reverse side is maker marked, Carl Schmidt Sohn Solingen with the trade mark of a church, the blade is also marked Ges Geschutzt (patent pending),there are a few small age marks to the blade but over all it is still very nice with a good clear motto. The matching scabbard is the early black anodised type and it is complete with black leather belt loop and grip retaining strap, the button is still in good working order. HJ knives with mottos have become difficult to find and this one is an especially nice example. Exc++
