THIRD REICH RIFLE ASSOCIATION DAGGER BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH HANGER AND KNOT.

This is a difficult to find dagger especially when in nice condition which this one is. Silver plated hilt fittings are in very nice condition. The clamshell displays the riffle association enamelled insignia which includes two small black swastikas in the design. The white celluloid grip is fitted with gilt metal crossed rifles and it is in mint condition, these Riffle Association grips are very fragile and they are normally cracked so it is especially desirable to find one in perfect condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is double etched with long foliage panels which include stags in forest and target board, the reverse side is stamped with the makers name Alcoso Solingen and this being there 1938 pattern trade mark. Complete with very nice black leather scabbard with silver fittings. Complete with black leather frog, similar to a bayonet frog but much slimmer fit for this type of scabbard and hard to find green riffle association knot. A really nice complete set. Near mint.
