RLB 2ND MODEL LEADERS DAGGER BY ALCOSO.

This is a very interesting example as it was originally issued in1936 as a 1st pattern dagger, but in 1938 it was updated to become a 2nd model dagger with the fitment of a central mount so the dagger can be worn with the new type of hangers and at the same time the grip insignia was changed to the 2nd pattern black swastika type, these up-dated daggers are desirable and very difficult to find. All early nickel silver hilt fittings with fine detail to the art deco style crossguard eagle and swastika, the tip of the crossguard also has a tiny waffen amp stamp which is only found on very early issue daggers. The black leather grip is in fine condition and it is complete with the RLB black enamel swastika badge showing some slight wear but still looks very nice. Very impressive blade with the early style Alcoso Solingen makers mark, scales with the A C S letters and it is in very nice condition. The scabbard has matching nickel silver mounts and all three match perfectly, the leather is complete and in very nice condition. A very fine and impressive RLB leaders dagger. Exc++
