POLITICAL LEADERS ARM BAND FOR KREISLEITER.

This is a rare arm band for a political leader holding the rank of Kreisleiter which is the highest rank for a Kreis level political leader. A superb red wool arm band with separately applied white silk circle with black swastika with metal rank pip, wide gold central oakleaf stripe with two thinner gold stripes to each side. Both edges of the arm band have a single gilt stripe with white edge piping for a Kreiss level political leader. The interior of the arm band is printed with an arrow which shows the way the arm band should be mounted on the tunic. In 1936 there were less than 800 full Kreisleiters making this a rare and difficult arm band to find, there would have been many thousands or Ortsgrupenleiters in the same period.
