WW2 RAF PILIOT OFFICERS GROUPING.
This superb grouping belonged to WW2 RAF pilot officer Berks. The set comprises his unique silver hallmarked cigarette case, the case has a planished affect with deign of a gipsy moth type aeroplane with inscription, HAPPY LANDING, this is all service mounted to the case and is highly detailed. The inside of the silver case is engraved with the owners name, Berks and also silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1934 and it is by Adie brothers with the design registration number. RAF officers swagger stick, long black wooden stick with silver cap displaying RAF eagle and kings crown, it is maker marked and is probably silver but the marks are rubbed so difficult to decipher now. RAF officer blue forage cap featuring metal RAF officers eagle with kings crown The interior features black silk and velvet lining and it is marked with the letter B for the owners name. Two RAF buttons and RAF kings crown civilian badge. RAF photograph from the MELTON MOWBRAY RAF training cap, the photograph clearly shows F/L Berks with his NCO's and RAF recruits all of which are named in the photograph. Complete with some research concerning this RAF officer. I would also consider selling the hat, stick, buttons, badge and photograph as a set with out the silver case. The price listed is for the complete set. Exc++
