WAFFEN SS SILVER FINGER RING, MILITARY DIARY AND A QUANTITY OF WAFFEN SS MARKED LETTERS BELONGING TO SS UNTERSHARFUHRER JULIUS SCHMIDT.

Very nice private purchase silver marked SS ring that display the SS silver runes on a black background, the inside of the band is silver marked 835 with an F and a star mark, it is in very nice condition just lightly used, the ring box is a later addition for display but has age. Julius Schmidt's personal diary from when he was serving with the Waffen SS Nordland Division and dated 1943, it has many military / combat entry's from Russia from January to late June and covers almost every day (a number of them have been translated). This fascinating set also has over 40 letter with envelops and almost all have official SS stamps with his name and many giving his SS rank. Complete with post war photograph of Schmidt wearing SS NCO uniform, a researched list of Field post numbers, some translations from the diary and a page from a former owners website with details of this set, at that time it contained other items but these were apparently sold separately some years ago.
