SS NCO SWORD BY WKC COMPLETE WITH SILVER SS RUNIC KNOT.

A very nice example of this rare sword model. The hilt retains all original silver platting, the pommel features the SS runes, these are very well defined better than most and again it still retains all silver plating. The black wooden grip is in near mint condition with no chip or cracks, it is really nice. The blade is by WKC which is one of the excepted makers of the SS NCO sword, the blade is also stamped on the reverse side with the SS runes acceptance stamp showing that it was officially issued to the SS, the blade is very nice and it is in excellent condition. The scabbard is the NCO model with just a single silver upper mount to the top of the scabbard, the plating matches perfectly to the hilt fittings, there is light age wear to the scabbard paint but it still retains about 95% original black paint. Attached to the hilt of the sword is a silver SS sword knot with black straps and SS runes to the stem of the knot, the reverse side of the bullion acorn is slightly oxidised with age, this style of SS knot can be worn on the SS officer and also the NCO sword. A very nice example of a difficult to find sword model. Exc++.
