Almost identical to a full size army officers sword but considerably smaller, measuring only 27 inches or 68cm long. The quality of this example is extremely high and much better than most. Gilt lions head hilt, the crossguard shield features crossed sword in the cavalry style and the tip of the crossguard features a second lions head. The fish skin grip is in excellent condition. The blade shows some age spotting but no pitting, the tip of the blade is blunted so it can not harm which most children's sword are. Black painted scabbard. The full size sword is for a size comparison and it is not included in the price. Children's swords are rare and hard to find. Exc++
