WW1 BRITISH PERSONALSED NAVAL MIDSHIPMANS DAGGER COMPLETE WITH HANGERS, BELT, KNOT AND EXTREMLY RARE ISSUE BAG.

The dagger and scabbard still retains much original gilt finish. Gilt lions head hilt, the crossguard features crowned fouled anchor. White fish skin grip is in fine condition. Near mint and very impressive double etched blade featuring foliage designs with anchor and King George the 5th cypher with Royal crown. Matching black leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts, the top mount is engraved with the original owners initials PC, the scabbard locking spring clip is in working order. Complete with black leather dagger hangers with brass fittings, black leather belt with gilt buckle, dagger gold and blue bullion dress knot and extremely rare dagger issue bag. Although naval swords with storage bags are often found, the dagger storage bag is very rare and this is only 2nd example I have ever owned. As the dagger is personalised it might be possible to discover the identity of the original owner. Exc++
