HITLER YOUTH FACTORY ADVERTISING KNIFE BY HERDER.

This is a very rare Third Reich Hitler Youth knife that was produced by Herder to promote the Quality of there products, over the last 40 years this is only the 2nd example that I have owned, they are exceptionally rare. The metal hilt still retains much silver plating. The black celluloid grip plates are in perfect condition, the obverse side features a circular badge rather than the HJ diamond with company details, R.A.HERDER SOLINGEN. The blade shows a few minor age marks but over all it is still very nice and the reverse side is maker marked, RICH ABR HERDER SOLINGEN and features the company trade mark design. Black painted scabbard complete with black leather belt loop and grip retaining strap. The knife dates to about 1935 or there abouts. Exc++
