WW1 MOUSER M98/05 MODEL SAWBACK BAYONET WITH ISSUE STAMP.

This is the model that is often described as the butcher bayonet because of its massive clever like blade. The wooden grip plates are in perfect condition. Steel hilt fittings are in excellent condition with waffen amp stamp to pommel and the rifle bayonet slot is still in good working order, the reverse side of the crossguard is issue stamped and it appears to be 6 LL. The impressive saw backed blade is maker marked, WAFFENFABRIK MOUSER AG OBFRANDORF AN, the spine is stamped with waffen amp marks. Complete with original scabbard that retains much factory bluing, there are a few shallow dents but nothing significant just age. A nice looking sawback bayonet. Exc++
